Three agencies are teaming up with Sesame Street to prepare school children for the new threat of the H1N1 virus.
The White House announced Tuesday morning that the Homeland Security, Education, and Health and Human Services departments are enlisting the help of Elmo and Gordon from the long-running educational show to teach children how to avoid H1N1, also know as the swine flu.
President Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with the secretaries of those three agencies and other administration officials later Tuesday afternoon to discuss the threat.
Elmo, Gordon, the Sesame Workshop and the federal agencies will try to teach children, through public service announcements, steps they can take to prevent contracting or spreading the potentially deadly flu strain.

As well as Obama’s education scheme is to keep schools a COMMUNITY place and open all the time because parents are TOO BUSY.

The ugly part about having no CHOICE in the matter is conveniently hidden, not to mention the larger consequences.
They will show all the sesame street characters sick and Elmo not getting healthcare cause his mom lost her job. Then they will say all should get health care as a right and donald trump will pay for it and Ted Kennedy died for all of our sins and 0bama is messiah.
I wonder if they’ll discuss this on “This Week with George Snuffleupagus.”
That’s a pity,even using kids’ shows to push the propaganda. Not that there isn’t a virus out there, but just my opinion, the excitement is over hyped.

Yeah, I’m wondering that too.
I mean the CDC is saying this isn’t as bad as the WH is making it out, we’ve already had it hit our school (and my kids) and it was less of a problem than that Chinese flu that came around a few years back, but they are going out of their way to frighten people.
I’m not just skeptical about this, I’m starting to concerned. Not because of fear of the flu, but fear of this regime’s reaction to a supposed epidemic.

Let’s see. It already hit in our area in March-May. It started here before it became a big deal in the news. We had it a few weeks before it hit the news. It was a very bad flu. One child died from it at our sons’ previous school. That child was already in poor health. We never went to the physician over it. Why would we unless we were at death’s door? It’s a virus. We thought it was just a seasonal flu at the time. Our pediatrician’s office has been overwhelmed with paranoid patients since the media hype over this flu started.
