Nice guys finish lastat least that seems to be the lesson Mike Huckabee has learned from losing the 2008 GOP presidential nomination. The former Arkansas governor made headlines last week when he suggested on his radio show that the Democrats health-care bill under debate in Congress wouldnt have covered Sen. Ted Kennedy in his final days of battling cancer. Proponents deny that the bill would devalue older peoples lives, or encourage them to accept less care to save money. But it was President Obama himself who suggested that seniors who dont have as long to live might want to just consider taking a pain pill instead of getting an expensive operation to cure them, Huckabee said, according to Politico. Yet when Senator Kennedy was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at 77, did he give up on life and go home to take pain pills and die? Of course not. He freely did what most of us would do. He chose an expensive operation and painful follow-up treatments. Over the weekend, Huckabee defended the accuracy of his remarks, but suggested his message was taken out of context by the media. (snip)
But what was interesting about Huckabee is that he often spent more time trashing Republicans at his town halls than he did Democrats. He chided his party for not doing more to help the poor and for not having compassion for the plight of illegal immigrants.

We've already got one phony con-man trying to mosey his way into the 2012 race (Romney). Do we need another?
Please! NO!
No more RudyMcRombee’s!
No more Huckabee’s!!
I never thought of Huckabee as the “nice guy” who was finishing last.
I thought of him as the candidate who tried to portray being a nice guy, but had a mean vindictive streak to him that popped up enough to make people nervous.
DOn’t jinx it, next thing you know we’ll have somebody resurrecting Giuliani’s national career.
I keep my Huckster files handy, just in case.
If Huckabeeee wants to play guitar at some of Palin’s functions, I’m okay with that, but no more than that.
You’re a TV star now Mike. Act like it!
Seriously. Another pretender that will muddle up the primary.
I did, I always saw him as a Republican Jimmy Carter.
Mega dittos friend!
I don’t think Huckabee understands that whole “give a man a fish” vs. “teach a man to fish” thing.
Absolutely not.
Backatcha, EEE!
Huck can go back to music where no one cares what he does and keep his sorry ass out of politics!
“If Huckabeeee wants to play guitar at some of Palins functions, Im okay with that”
Why let him destroy a good function?
I'd go that far, but no further with this guy. His band is pretty good as I recall.
Not even to get Sarah will I vote for the Huckster.
Where’s the guy with the “Aw, Geez” photo...?
I think we could do far worse than Mike Huckabee.
Hey Huck, stick to playing the bass (poorly) and stay the heck out of politics. We don’t have room for any more liberals in the GOP.
Mmmhmm. We could have, oh, I don’t know, Giuliani, Brownback, ......
You’re probably right, but it might keep him busy and out of the way. LOL
I liked Huckabee. He was very charismatic..very likeable..but then again most preacher types are. I just didn’t like the idea of him sitting as just another tax and spend RINO.
I'll never vote for him, and McLame has gone back to bashing conservatives.
I'll go for Sarah in '12.
The things he claims to be for are enough to automatically rule him out completely.
He has some Christians fooled though and I hope they're a minority if he puts his hat in the ring next election.
Jeez, do we have to go all the way to Wasilla to find an

Nice guys finish last Huckabee, but you are a moron. You are bashing the WRONG ONES.
Idiot.
Jon Voight was a guest on Huckabee’s FNC show this weekend. At the end of the interview, Voight urged Huckabee to run again. The dimpled smile on Huckabee’s face provided his answer: He intends to run.
Gag. No to Huckabee, Romney, or any of the other nanny-staters.
I agree! I can’t stand Huckabee. I am hoping the money he makes at FNC will override his political ambitions.
I think we could do far worse than Mike Huckabee.Fine, the rest of us know we can do far better.
“These days, Huckabee is courting the hard-core conservative base by tapping into the one emotion that seems to be motivating potential Republican voters: anger. And like Palin, he’s getting a lot of attention for it.”

Another attempt to marginalize Palin as a hard-core, angry, right-winger.
It was a great movie too...Thanks
I have nothing against her really..she is certainly more admirable than Huckabee or Romney..but she had better bring the sword Excalibur with her when the race kicks off.
Huck is awful, and embodies much of what is wrong with the Republican party today. Please no.
Hey, thanks a lot!
I agree with you. He uses his program to promote himself and chums it up with democrats and other lefties to exhibit he’s one who gets along with everyone. Enough of that crap.
