Excerpts from Levi Johnston's Vanity Fair Interview
Time ^ | 9/2/09

Posted on 09/02/2009 7:36:16 AM PDT by redk

Levi Johnston tells editors at Vanity Fair about the off-camera life of the woman who almost became vice president, revealing that the Palin family's home life was very different from what was presented in the mainstream media. “Even before she was nominated,” Johnston writes, “there wasn't much parenting in that house. Sarah doesn't cook, Todd doesn't cook—the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school. Most of the time Bristol would help her youngest sister with her homework, and I'd barbecue chicken or steak on the grill.”

What a brat. He needs to be taken behind the woodshed.

This story certainly smells fishy to me. Like some Lib wrote up their stereotype of what Sarah must be like and put Mr. Johnston’s name on it.

Levi’s only attention/fame getting ploy, is to say bad stuff about Sarah.

He is working it to the max.

We know the liberals can’t wait to post derogatory comments from him about Sarah.

She is being classy to ignore him.

I do not believe him. He is being deliberately ugly .

Well I hope Sarah paid the kids at least minimum wage for time spent doing their chores. And for godsakes, the kids better have filed tax returns for that money.

Meanwhile, the Kennedy kids shoot heroin into their testicles, rape babysitters, and bash in schoolgirl heads with golf clubs. But they're royalty and such behavior is expected.

“...the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school...”

Sounds to me like Todd and Sarah Palin did a pretty good job of parenting if they can get the kids to do all these chores. We’re trying to get our kids to do these things too, unfortunately with less success than the Palins.

I’m wondering when his 15 minutes of fame is going to be over?

They will never be over, just so long as Palin is a threat and he is willing to trash the Palin family. She was governor, he works. I have no doubt the Palin's were pressed for time, but I am equally sure that Levi Johnston clearly understands where his financial bread is buttered and there's always more cash for more dirt, whether exaggerated or not.

SARAH PALIN DOES NOT COOK:

I seem to remember at the beginning of the year that when Greta Van Susteren was interviewing Sarah Palin in her home that she was indeed cooking.

Was that special effects or a Palin impersonator doing the cooking?

I think we need to remember that politicians are very unusual people. They are intense and ambitious. Family life has been strained for politicians of many political stripes.

My guess is that Johnston is taking some things that have a grain of truth and exaggerating them. When Palin was giving speeches all over the country, of course she wasn’t making every hockey game. Arguing is part of married life, and intense people like the Palins probably have intense arguments. A determined and caring woman like Palin may have thought Bristol wasn’t ready to be a mother and was willing to strongly encourage her not to have the child.

And how many of us have complained about our jobs? If any of us could quit our jobs and triple our income, wouldn’t it be tempting? And if any of us had been treated like McCain’s people treated Palin, wouldn’t we be a bit annoyed?

This whole thing just makes out Palin to be a human being and Johnston a lowlife who can’t be trusted with someone’s privacy.

I don’t think you read the article. it’s much worse than accusing Palin of delegating chores to her kids.

Hmmm... My mother went to work when I was 10 and I learned to cook, do laundry, sew, repair small engines. All of which came in handy when I went off to college and got married. Seeing this jerkoff impregnated a minor and is neither going to school or holds a honest job, somehow we are supposed to give weight to his opinions.

At this point, using Levi Johnston as a primary source for any form of print article discussing Sarah Palin ought to be considered prima facie evidence either of publishing known falsehood or of reckless disregard for the truth.

Sounds like the kids are well raised, independent and take responsibility.

Unlike Levi, his druggie jail "mom" and creepy sister.

Rex Butler is a black supremacist Democrat lawyer who supported Jesse Jackson for his presidential bid and of course Barack Obama. He is now “surprisingly” Levi Johnston’s lawyer and along with his like-minded buddy Tank Jones pulling the punk’s strings to dance to the MSM’s tune.

According to Johnston, “She would blatantly say, ‘I want to just take this money and quit being governor.' She started to say it frequently, but she didn't know how to do it.

Bwahahahaha! Right...

Governor Palin let the official Governor’s chef go to save money for the state taxpayers which is a sign that she indeed does cook.

Does anyone here really believe that a working class couple that is famous for hunting and fishing for food, and that even own and operate their own small, seasonal, commercial fishing boat don’t know their way around a kitchen and cooking and that their kids wouldn’t know more about fundamental food preparation than about 95% of the population?
