I admire anyone that home schools their children and I am positive your children will grow up to be adults that people will admire.
Hopefully your statement that these two pathetic books “shall be used” is a little bit of hyperbole......right?
I’ve come across the same types of books about Obama in the children’s sections of bookstores. The idol worship is over the top. Just downright weird.

A little story to share with you.
First, I live in a very deep blue city in a very deep blue county in a formerly grand but bankrupt Western state, ruled over by an Austrian.
In my little neighborhood there are a couple of independent bookstores. Both of them (owned by different people) contain BO hagiographies. The one that carries used as well as new books, however, has a more interesting selection.
A few weeks ago I was in this second bookstore and overheard a couple of small children discussing a BO book displayed in the children's section. (This store had a few obligatory BO books but not as many as the first store.)
Looking at the BO book, the little boy asked the little girl who she'd voted for, and she said "McCain," and he said "I'd vote for McCain too," and they wandered off to find their parents.
Cute kids, not quite ten years old.
I don't know if he does. It's pretty clear those who follow him do.
There’s a picture in this book of BAM crying in Rev. Wright’s church. The book talks about how great Trinity is, but never discusses the hate spewed from the pulpit. I will stick with committed leftist Dr. Suess for my child instead of committed socialist BAM.
ONE OF MY GRANDCHILDREN RECEIVED THIS BOOK FOR CHRISTMAS. AS WE WERE READING IT, I NOTICED NUMEROUS OMISSIONS AND HAZY SUPPOSED FACTS. “WHEN BARACK WAS JUST A TODDLER, HIS FATHER MOVED FAR AWAY”. THE QUESTIONS WERE SWIFT AND MANY: “WHERE DID HE MOVE? WHY DID HE MOVE? WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?” KIDS ARE NOT STUPID. BARACK MOVED TO INDONESIA WHEN HE WAS SIX WITH HER NEW HUSBAND. “WHAT HAPPENED TO HER OLD HUSBAND? DID THEY GET DIVORCED?” HOW WOULD A SIX YEAR OLD KNOW ABOUT EXTREME POVERTY??? “WHY DID HE MOVE TO HAWAII? WHY DID HE LIVE WITH HIS GRANDPARENTS? WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS MOTHER? DIDN’T SHE WANT HIM?” DITTO THE SUDDEN ARRIVAL AND SUDDEN DEPARTURE OF HIS AFRICAN FATHER! MORE QUESTIONS: “HOW DID HE PAY FOR COLLEGE? WERE HIS GRANDPARENTS RICH?”
I RE-READ THE BOOK AND HAVE TONS OF QUESTIONS ALSO: HE “FOUND” HIMSELF AT TRINITY CHURCH? THAT’S SCARY IN VIEW OF THE REV. WRIGHT’S EXTREME VIEWS ON AMERICA! THE AUTHOR HAS PAINTED A SKEWED AND FANTASY PORTRAIT OF OBAMA, WHILE IGNORING DETAILS.......LIKE FACTS. TRUTH BE TOLD, THIS BOOK READS LIKE AN INDOCTRINATION PRIMER FOR CHILDREN. ALSO, THE ILLUSTRATIONS WERE WONDERFUL BUT, AGAIN, NOT TRUTHFUL. MY GRANDSON IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT OBAMA’S WHITE MOTHER LOOKED VERY “BROWN” TO HIM. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE.

Perfect... if your aim is early indoctrination of children. Yes, young minds need fairy tales to learn to separate fact from fantasy; reading or being read to can be instrumental in learning to discern good from evil. Personally, I prefer the classics not the New Socialist Meme.
And besides... I thought he ‘wasn’t listening’ while sitting for almost 20 years in Trinity Church?
Do yourself and your child a favor... find a well written children’s book on George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt or Martin Luther King... or, for real ‘good wins out’ fantasy, save a tree and find a much loved and much read copy of Ivanhoe.
My girls get a nice 4 day weekend! This is intolerable! Wake up America and see this for what it really is!
Texas schools get their funding based on daily attendance per child. We need to make them feel it!
If Kim Jong-Il had a children’s book written about him, I doubt it would look much different than this piece of...work.
I flipped through it at my local Target and was struck by all the adulation about how Obama came along at such a “dark time” in our history to rescue us. Claims like this with nothing in context (why did his association with Bill Ayers, who wanted to kill 25 million Americans, not make the book...?) left me shaking my head in wonder and dismay. Wonder at the naked manipulation the book’s author is trying to achieve, and dismay that apparently, there is a market out there eager to lap it up.
Seriously...leader as cult figure, which this book unarguably enables, is not only creepy but has no place in American politics.
