New Anthem:
We Wont Pay (apologies to the offspring)
Baracks got a Health care plan
And he thinks it is great
He tells me every day
He says we need to redistribute your income
In the worst kind of way
He sits on his ass
We work our hands to the bone
To give him money every payday
They want more dinero just like ancient rome
Well my friends
You gotta say
We wont pay, We wont pay ya, no way
Obama needs to get a new job
Say no way, say no way, no way
Obama needs to get a new job
I guess all our money, well it isnt enough
To keep their tax collectors at bay
I guess all our money, well it isnt enough
Cause Washington has got expensive tastes
We wont pay, We wont pay ya, no way
The Politicians need to get a new job
Say no way, say no way, no way
The Politicians need to get a new job
Well I guess it aint easy doing nothing at all
But hey man free rides just dont come along
every day
Let me tell you about my other friend now
Pelosi wants cap and trade, man that makes me sick
She tells me every day
They want more dinero just like ancient rome
Well my friend
You gotta say
We wont pay, We wont pay ya, no way
Pelosi needs to get a new job
Say no way, say no way, no way
Pelosi needs to get a new job
I'm on my way!!
:)
As long as you are there, at least go to Riverwalk and ride the boat. It is pretty cool.
Also, the restaurants along riverwalk look expensive, but they are not. Eat lunch there.
The riverwalk is about 2 blocks from the Alamo.
I think the boat ride costs 8 dollars and you buy a ticket before getting on the boat.
There is a fabulous italian place underneath the mall that is near the alamo, but all the restaurants are inexpensive and pretty good, in spite of looking like tourist traps.
At least wave as you drive past Round Rock.
Should be passing through Round Rock in about an hour or so. Will wave!
Woo hoo!! We had a great crowd and a great Tea Party in San Antonio!! GO TEXAS!! Remember the Alamo!!
Now on the road to Waco!!
Hey...no stop over in Austin???
Not all of us here are liberals!!!
At least honk the horn when driving thru on IH-35!!!!
Once again, it sounds like San Antonio stepped up to the plate.
Thank you so much for stopping in the greatest city on the Planet.
Keep the rubber on the road, don't let anybody bite your fingers and Give 'em Hell!!
If I get any links or pictures, I'll pass 'em on up I-35 to you guys.
Once again, Thanks to you All.
Are they going to Dallas or Fort Worth? It is a big state. I once drove from Dallas to Waco which is pretty close on a map. Not so close by car.
What was the name the “writer” from Huff Po used in the article where he meant Jim Robinson but he got the name wrong? Typical lazy lib journalists.
Jim - I looked for you after the buses rolled in, but there were just so many people it was hard to move around and I had to get back to work right afterwards. Sorry I missed you, I guess you'll have to settle for a cyber hug! Besides, we were probably too sweaty at the rally to hug anyways, LOL! Enjoy the rest of your trip and give 'em hell in DC for me!
I believe you mean Jim Thompson.
He posted the same account as a comment to an Austin American Statesman article
Link:
"I am a proud veteran,,I swore a solemn oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United Staes of America,,,Last week I attended, very peacefully, a town hall hosted by Cong Charles Gonzales in San Antonio. I watched and heard as the congressman belittled my constitution as an old piece of paper that was written more than 200 years ago,,,and holds no significant value for todays times. His exact quote."
Gonzalez won with 72% of the vote in 2008, but that was a throw-out-the-republicans year, and I think this episode should be a campaign issue in 2010. It astounds me that we have so many traitors who are not even trying to conceal their ideologies, and yet they are still in office.
.........
Griff Jenkens of Fox News was there. He snuck up on us from behind. I looked back and saw he was standing right next to me, interviewing several tea partygoers with a mike and camera crew.
I estimate there were between 500 and 1000 who showed up.
What website are you viewing these at? I can’t find anything. H E L P. Thanks. D.
It was great to see you &nd Sheila, and Chris. Sorry the weather was so hot. I think you were handling it better than some of the Texans there(me).
BTW, I didn’t even know there were any Move On folks there until I just watched the news. Figures they’d get their mugs interviewed since there were about seven of them. Hope you stopped for lunch someplace.
I looked for you. I don’t think me or my sign made the news. It was one of those “man” targets (wish my groups were better, but they were all kill shots), and it said “Quit targeting Taxpayers”. I didn’t really have any sign stuff, so got creative. Then I wrote, Bailouts, Cap & Trade, Cash 4 Clunkers over the target.
I seemed to be standing in the vicinity of where people were fainting from the heat. Lots of great folks there.
Sorry I missed you.
WOAI has a pretty good slideshow right next to their article. I saw Mrs JimRob. aka, Sheila in Pic number 8 and JimRob in Pic 19.

“Proud of you guys & gals” bump.
Great pictures!
It was a great turnout! They said more attended today than any other Waco tea party event. Many booths with candidates introducing themselves and people selling t-shirts, water, flags, etc. I noticed lots of senior citizens that probably wouldn'tt be out in 100 degree weather. Very concerned, energized crowd.
There were only 8 protesters!! (LOL-I counted!) The police made them keep their distance but of course the anchorette @ one local TV station interviewed them.
San Antonio had five whole protestors, who also got interviewed, at least on the local CBS station here. Figures.
Good Job, Waco!
About how big was the Waco crowd? I wanted to go, but the drive from Austin seemed a bit too much for today.
Woo hoo!! Just left Waco and are now on our way to Dallas! Great job Waco!! Must’ve bee two or three thousand patriots there. Great rally!!
Yeah - Jim Thompson. LOL!
Today we are all Jim Thompson. ;-)
I wonder if he is in the RV headed to DC. ;-)
WOW! That is a lot of people in Waco! Woo hoo!
Hubby and I just got back from the Waco Tea Party. It was great and a great turnout! I was thinking it had to be over a thousand there and when we left, I saw two (2) protesters, lol!
We left a little early too, but didn’t see any rain. Clouds gathered and a nice breeze came up. Sheila said it was a gift from God. God bless TEXAS!!
Hi! I saw that local news piece, too! (I’m in Cove.) I missed the very beginning, but saw the conservative black gentleman being interviewed, and he did a great job! I wondered if the reporter lady were surprised that he was not in the tank for Obama. The kid who represented the counter protesters was out of his league. It was as though he had no idea why he was there or what he was supposed to say. Figures.
Thank you so much guys! I live only about an hour away from Waco, but just couldn’t get there tonight. I saw good clips of the Tea Party on my local news and just now on Greta.
You make us so proud!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of rain, we arrived in Dallas about an hour ago. We were welcomed by a sudden thunder and lightening storm. As Chris was unloading us from the freepmobile there was a huge lightening flash and thunderclap right over our heads that startled us and set off several car alarms around us. Then a torrent of rain poured down that drenched us before we could get to the hotel door.
True, he could finally grow up someday when reality hits. I went to Baylor...was a freshman when Clinton was first elected. I don’t remember more than a couple of Clinton/Gore signs around campus (in dorm room windows, etc.). The College Repubs were alive and well (saw a couple of current ones on Greta earlier). I wonder how the campus looked last fall...how many Obarfa signs were posted on campus? I have a sneaking suspicion that it was much worse than in ‘92. Even the conservative, Christian universities aren’t immune to this idiocy. Sad.
Have a great night!
