Please help Freep this poll - Should 0bama's speech be carried live?
Dallas Morning News ^ | 9/3/09 | Theodore Kim

Matthew Haag and I have a story today about President Obama's plan next week to make a speech aimed at students. As it stands, Plano does not plan to air the speech live. But the school district will make the speech available on its website. The story has spread like wildfire this morning. As such, we wanted to put the question to you in a Plano Mini Poll. View the totals instantly after voting.

My prediction is that they will make this first one be very tame, so they can laugh at people who opposed it. Then, they can start doing this on a regular basis, and when ppl aren’t paying attention they will turn it into full-scale brainwashing.

His speech to students is wrong, dangerous, and infuriating. While I voted “no” in the poll, Obama’s speeches are so long, disjointed, and boring, even to adults, I think the students will be so bored and distracted that his speech will be without affect, or may even inoculate them against his “charm.”

The class work calls for identifying the three most important words in Obama’s speech. How much trouble will a student be in if they say “God Bless America”.

Agree totally. Especially the after-speech activities by the unionized teachers.

On the other hand, the freeper comments on a live thread would be fun.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Yes. If he is going to try to indoctrinate children parents have the right to know what he is saying to them.
