The vote was unanimously against her. She was at the hearing, rolled into the room on a bed, and she slept through most of the proceedings, after she read Psalm 23 as her statement.

Well we can all sleep well tonight....Susan will more than likely die in her sleep....while in prison.

She's perfectly comfortable. Let her rot where she is!

If Gordy Brown can be compassionate... well, then so can I! I’m all for releasing Susan to Libya...

If the Lord is her shepherd, she doesn’t need us. Surely she will dwell in the House of Corrections forever and ever.

She’s up for parole in three years....I doubt she will make it to three months. If that.

Well I don’t know this woman’s heart. Where she resides after her death is between God and her. But for the animalistic murders she committed, she needs to remain in jail.

She can’t be paroled, for as long as Charles Manson lives.

Atkins et al actually committed the murders- Manson was not at the scene. If they released her, it would be tough to refuse Manson. But since Manson ain’t getting out, neither will the other defendents.

I love it. I used to do that “Worlds Smallest Violin” gesture with my fingers all the time with my kids, they hated it. Now I use it on my students. They don’t like it any better.

Used to break my heart watching Sharon Tate's mother pleading at the Manson parole hearings for him to be kept in jail.

The poor lady subjected herself to being in the same room with that piece of garbage. She died a few years ago.

RIP Sharon and her mother.

I saw an interesting story about that. Can’t remember where I saw it but the bottom line was that we ought to tell John Hinkley that everyone forgives him for trying to shoot RR and that everything is cool. Oh and by the way, obama’s been banging Jodie Foster like a screen door in a tornado ever since he was elected.

What part of “life sentence” do these morons not understand. Leave her in prison until Sharon Tate asks that she be freed.

“Screw you, you POS. YOU were the “shadow of death”. YOU were the evil. And now you quote it in court?”

You know....that is an interesting way of looking at it. Yea she was the “shadow of death” and she was the “evil”. I can only think that now she is on deaths’ door and she is afraid. Oh gee Susan, it is not fun to look death in the face is it? Only now, at the end, do you understand. Now she is alone and scared just like the Tate lady was. Who says there is no Karma?

QBFimi I know you are angry with her for what she did, but rest assured, she is very scared to have said that verse.

It won’t be much longer now, maybe if she wanted to sway the parole board and public she would have said “Father forgive me for I know not what I did”, I am not sure if she knows what she did.

I guess I could walk up to her paralyzed body in a day or so and tell her Charlie was dead and was waiting for her in Hell.

Might be fun even if Charlie lives to 90 in prison.

Kudos to whoever on this thread or another said this is what life without parole means.

I would have let her out. She’s no threat, and keeping her in any longer doesn’t substantially add to the deterrent effect. It just costs money, and I don’t see why the government should pay for her treatment any longer. Let her take her chances outside.

Except... that that would hurt the Tate family. And in my book, they come first when it comes to doling out mercy. So she will remain in jail for the term of her natural life. I’m not saying it’s justice, and certainly not mercy, but it lessens the hurt of those who don’t deserve to be hurt by her any more. The lesser of two evils.

I’m against the death penalty too. But I have no problems with people - and I use the word loosely - who commit especially heinous crimes, and whose guilt is absolutely certain, being bricked up in a pit, with a hundred years supply of food and water, adequate air, then after 100 years, you fill in the pit.

you think the state wouldn’t pick up the tab anyway? whose gonna pay for her care if she was let out? she has no money, no job, no benefits. Who would even take her in?

best this way

There can be no such thing as true “justice” on earth for criminals. No matter what you do to the criminal, it cannot be equated with what that dog has done to his/her victims. The problem: One is guilty and deserves “it,” and the other is innocent and does not deserve what the pig has done to him/her.

Well, she is from a radical anti-establishment eviromentalist cult. Obama could make a Czar position for her.
