Tony Greenwich, Connecticut isnt immune to the fear and loathing that has been seen at townhall meetings across the country during the Congressional recess this summer.
Wall Street traders and their wives showed up fully charged to debate health care reform last night...
It was a bit of a mob scene. At one point Congressman Jim Himes, who represent Greenwich in Congress, went out to speak to the fifty or so people locked out of the meeting because of space restrictions. He was escorted by 8 armed police officers.
The Congressman was rattled by questions ...
At one point the crowd cheered No more government, the free market can do it better.

Hard to keep the players straight these days. Aren’t the evil ‘Wall Streeters’ (and their ‘tony’ wives) the ones we’re supposed to hate?
Or is that insurance people? Doctors? I’m pretty confused... ;)
Money really talks!
Kerry says its the damn “corporations” that are already death panelling.
Ok lets trust in the .Gov that loses $45 on every Amtrak Ticket, backs a failing Postal service, and bankrupting Medicaire and Social Security.
Read the article.
I have a problem with the reporter giving out the name of one of the women there and her husband’s name.
Happy to read any updates of Town Hall Meetings but to name people in attendance and what they do for a living is not a good idea in today’s political environment.
I was trying to figure out how this Tony Greenwich guy fit into the story. I thought he was a British mobster.
Yeah, they cut down my FIL in his prime at 93.
Rattled by questions? Eight police officers? What a weenie!
You're supposed to hate rich people. ...but only the ones who actually earn their wealth.
Politicians, entertainers and pimps are all OK. (But I repeat myself...)
No, he’s a trans-gender broker for Goldman Sachs.....
Your right! I’d like a couple of those ACORN protesters names along with a couple of the Union Thug protester names to even the score!
I was in Wilton, CT when the bus pulled up to torment the AIG Employees.
The bus filled with paid protesters from NYC. They had to have a group leader tell them what to do. They also went to the homes of AIG families and protested there. The AIG employees were scared out of their wits.
It was just awful and disgusting, the thugs.
Connecticut ping
Yes I remember that in the news. Most of these people do not have a clue to what they are protesting. They have IQ’s of a fencepost and are no doubt paid to show up and join the crowd of protesters for the day.
