FL: 5-17 year olds forced to listen GREAT LEADER Obama's "necessary" speech OR ELSE

Posted on 09/04/2009 1:59:45 PM PDT by steve0

Our children in Florida are threatened if they don't attend Obama's diatribe. What part of "ain’t [America] no more, okay?” did YOU not understand? (Officer Wesley Cheeks) http://michellemalkin.com/2009/09/04/broward-county-fl-schools-no-you-cant-opt-out-of-obama-speech/

That is exactly right.
He didn’t come right out and say it. However, he did hint that if you keep your kids home, they would just re-play for them at a later date.

I teach in a middle school (NJ)

I asked our principal to let me know if we had to watch the speech because I needed to put it in my lesson plans if we were. She did not get back to me. Since we have off Monday, there is no way for our school to prep for the speech.

I think it was our schools way of ignoring the speech all together.

Can’t the Gubinor over-ride the schools showing the O hour?

Sanctions:
1. Loose one of your 5 gimmie’s
2. Impact your grade, unexcused absence not necessarily qualifies for you to turn in or get credit for missed assignments
3. This Absence would qualify to be counted against you affecting your right to drive, for those of driving age. Florida Statute 322.091 and 1003.27(2)(b)

Those are just the explicit, some libtard teachers may apply some “unwritten” consequences

II. PATTERNS OF NON-ATTENDANCE
Non-attendance for instructional activities is established by tardiness,
early-sign-outs, or absences for all or any part of the day. The maximum
number of days that a student may be absent without acceptable
documentation justifying the absence is 5.

1. Excused Absences:
Make-up work for credit and grade is allowed for ALL excused absences.

sent home today from the principal at my children’s Catholic School in NJ....
“With all due respect to the office of President of the United States, XXXX XXX School will not present President Obama’s address to the students on Tuesday. Parents may choose to view the address with their children in their homes during the webcast, or download to view at another time.”

I've had nasty emails from both Nutter and School Board chair Dinnen.

Broward County parents: Please consider keeping your kids at home on speech day. We have to push back on these tyrants.

MoJo, same message from our public school here in South Jersey!!! Our kids don’t start until the 8th, so it was very likely they would have seen it. Perhaps the Superintendent received enough emails and voicemails to realize how polarizing it would be. I LOVE MY TOWN!!!

Personally, I think this is a teachable moment. Think of conservative parents sending their kids to school well-armed against the orgy of Obama worship. Teach them to proudly stand up and tell the teachers, and anyone else, that they don’t see Obama as all that and a bag of chips.

Educate your children about the many ways Obama is hurting our country, betraying our history, and setting them up for a poorer and less free future. Teach your kids to know a phony when they see one. Teach them that they don’t serve the president, and to always be skeptical about politicians.

Let them know that the best thing they can do to help the country is to help Obama fail in his agenda.

Then send them to school with instructions to always be respectful, but to make clear that they will not be taken in, and they will not be afraid to disagree with the President.

I think that’s a much better idea than keeping them home.

Also remind you that Press Secretary Gibbs insulted and attacked every school that won’t show the great leaders speech when he said, yeah some School’s “won’t let you read Huckleberry Finn.” So ya’ll just backward idiots who want interrupt all previous planning and normal preparing for the whole school year to hear the historic, uncomparable Obama.
