Mercedes-Benz, Capital One, HSBC, Discover and seven other big firms are yanking their ads from Beck's show, boycott organizers said Wednesday.
"We applaud those companies that have recently pulled their support from Beck," James Rucker, executive director of ColorOfChange.org, said Wednesday.
"There are at least 57 companies who will not tolerate Beck's race-baiting comments."
The African-American political group went after Beck for declaring on his July 28 show that Obama is a racist with a "deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture."
About 145,000 members signed a petition asking Beck's advertisers to stop supporting him. And big companies like retailing giant Wal-Mart, Procter & Gamble, GMAC Financial Services, Best Buy, CVS and Travelocity complied.

I’ve never watched the Glenn Beck show, but I guess I’ll have to tune in.
If I’m not mistaken, some of the advertizers have returned to Beck’s timeslot.
I am sure not going to buy any more Mercedes-Benz products ~ buncha’ Nazis anyway.
BO and crew are a bunch of race-baiting communist thug.
( Advertisers Continue to abandon Glenn Beck after Pundit had called President Obama a ‘Racist’ ) ,,,, must be fuzzy logic and fuzzy math, because, Beck’s ratings keep getting higher and higher.
On the one hand, FNC is making tons of money from Beck, who only make $2 Million for his gig there. And viewership is up.
On the other hand, I have seen ads for the WSJ and Weekly Standard on his show, which are usually only shown when they can’t sell the advertising time.
Many of his new sponsors are Gold Companies, and ads aimed at older people, like pharmaceuticals and diabetes drugs.
The Dems and MSNBC and CNN are going mental because Beck is KILLING them in ratings.
Fox needs to dump O’Reilly, give Glenn his time slot, hore Lou Dobbs and give him Glenn’s time slot.
Given the ratings numbers for Beck, there’s going to be no shortage of advertisers to keep him going...
To the contrary, I’m concerned that the powers-that-be at Fox succumb to the dollar signs in their eyes, and overbook the show, so that we get less Beck, and more ‘words from our sponsors’....
It’s a Van Jones -vs- Glenn Beck cagematch.
The commie and the capitalist ...
Well it’s true.
If I were a stockholder with any of those boycott companies, I would be madder than hell that they aren’t advertizing (spending money to make money) on a ratings powerhouse.
That’s like Dupont pulling their advertizing from Jeff Gordon and sponsoring Morgan Sheppard.
How do you Pimp SLAP race baiting marxist thugg and get away with it?...
Answer: YOU DON'T..
However; you can mark all the tools of a marxist thugg as what they are.. and highlight their deeds in a (at a) Tea Party..
My 16-year-old daughter LOVES Glenn Beck. She was angry last week when her ex-boyfriend came by the house because she had to miss Glenn’s show. She watches it every day after school. The next day she told me Friday’s show was supposed to be good so she was going to watch it in her room and not answer the door. With the lights off. And the blinds drawn. And a loaded gun. (She has never fired a gun in her life.) She’s a serious viewer.
Beck will gone the end of the year. They are really out to get him. He is the only one willing to after the full truth. In to todays media you just can’t do that. The left is relentless. They will get Glenn Beck one way or another and he will be shut down.
In todays America the Bill of Rights no longer exists. Free speech is dead. The constitution is obsolite.
Continue to pray for America.
Sounds like Obama and Co are lying as usual. Why would these companies except for perverted Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream(which you can’t find the ice cream)want to alienate half or more of their customers? Of course, there are probably a few of them.
What a load of crap.
Whiney clowns like you are worse than the democrats.
Dump O’Reilly? That is dumb business, the guy is huge!
I can’t stand BOR but agree it would be pure stupidity to get rid of him. A better idea would be to move Beck to Shep’s timeslot since he isn’t doing anything with it.
I got TIVO yesterday specifically so we can watch him in the evening. Watched our first show last night.
YIKES! She is serious!
Don't hold your breath on that prediction.
He is flying over enemy territory and getting fired on!!!!
He is no holds barred putting forth the TRUTH & shedding the LIGHT ...
..and the administration is mad as heck and foaming at the mouth!
Seriously pray for him....he's making a foothold, a huge foothold!
Hore Lou Dobbs?? Say it ain’t so.
He sounds like he has the balls to tell the truth about the marxist muzzie in chief and all this boycott is doing is increase interest in his show and identify what companies to avoid doing business with if possible.
Beck will presumably report that the NY Daily News daily publishes a barn gutter full of “Bountiful Stuff” (BS). The first several “advertisers” who “withdrew” from Beck said (1) that they had never advertised through Beck, or (2) that they had ceased advertising with all cable channels, switching to bigger audiences on the broadcast networks. (The latter has hurt Dem/Dim channels many times as much as it has hurt Fox.)
I shop at CVS, and I’m annoyed to hear they dropped Glenn.

We need the list of 57 who don’t believe in freedom of speech unless you are Whoopi Goldberg or Bill Mahrer and are calling George Bush every vile thing they can think of.
I want to do my own boycott of these companies.
“Hore”, as “Hor ‘em out” ~ que?
I watch Beck everyday and I can honestly say I never knew any of these companies even ran ads on his show. Alot of what this racist bunch is claiming is apparently not true - a lot of those they claim are boycotting said they’ve never even advertised on the show....
That’s interesting...
I attended a Healthcare Town Forum this week.............2800 folks turned out for this..!!!
..and from the roar of the crowd when points were made that Beck had clearly revealed on his radio and TV shows...
..the crowd was all Beck!!!
It's too bad the local congressman didn't have one ounce of chutzpah Beck has....
..he could have mopped up the votes.
He got a standing ovation when the 2 hour forum began....
..but he barely gave the people time to get questions answered....and even then, he read the questions and they didn't get to speak.
It was like a balloon deflating when all those folks left. ....felt like a lot of folks were disappointed, including myself.
You must be very proud. I would be. Sounds like she takes after you.
I doubt it! This has become a movement. We will know a few days after 912 whether the movement has reached critical mass. Then the politicians and the media better pay attention.
Beck has been going overboard lately. I basically agree with most of his positions, but he’s taken to expressing them in the a way that smacks of paranoia and dogmatism. He comes across as desperate, fearful, and lacking objectivity, and that doesn’t help promote his message. Sure, many of the already-converted cheer him on, but they’re not the ones who need to be reached with the content of the message. He also doesn’t sound particularly sincere, but more like he’s acting — exaggerating his emotional tone to get attention and ratings. He’s sounding a bit like a televangelist, trying to build up fear in viewers that millions of souls will burn in hell for eternity unless you “send money to this important ministry today”.
I caught a few minutes of Beck last weekend, and it was like listening to Susan Estrich. You don’t really care what she’s saying, because the tone is so bizarre and unpleasant that you instinctively want to disagree with her, without even considering the specific content.
Yup. Said it before, but I wonder why, if all these advertisers are bailing on Beck, there seems to be no shortage of commercials.
Van Jones is one of the founders of “Color of Change”. Jones thinks that he can shut down Beck through his political organizing, but all he has done is stir up a hornet’s nest.
The more Jones tries to shut up Beck, the more Beck digs into Jones’ background. Jones is pretty much finished, even if Obama keeps him on the payroll, he will accomplish nothing. I predict that Obama will keep Jones through the end of the year and then try to dump him quietly.
I never pay much attention to advertisers and usually change channels during commercials. In this case, I am going to pay very close attention though, and will give my business to those who are willing to stay with him.
I have also heard that ColorofChange is lying and exaggerating the effectiveness of their boycott. If a lib is talking, he’s lying.
They'll get some advertisers to pull and then claim, “they're leaving him in droves.”
Yet Rush is still here and their networks are floundering
There are different types of media buys. Advertisers pay a lot more to advertise on specific programs. Other advertisers get cheaper rates by agreeing to have their ads shown on any program in a general time slot (i.e. weekday-daytime, prime time, graveyard shift, etc). Many of the advertisers you see during a particular program never selected that program to advertise on — their ad was just dropped in there by the network to fill ad time not purchased by program-specific advertisers. Just because all the ad time on Beck’s program is filled, doesn’t mean that program-specific advertisers haven’t beening pulling out, or that Fox’s revenue from the show isn’t dropping substantially. Any national network can always fill up all its available ad time — the issue is how much money they’re getting for it.
Just because you see an ad during a particular program doesn’t mean the advertiser chose to advertise on that program. See my previous post.

Thanks for the ad sales lesson. Would you care to tell us the revenue loss figures you speak of . Do you have internal add traffic reports tht we should know about.
I don’t work for Fox, so I don’t have specific figures, and I expect those are a closely guarded secret. I was just describing how TV ad sales work. A lot of people here seem to be considering boycotting or patronizing certain businesses based on whether they see their ads on Beck now, or whether they used to see their ads on Beck and don’t see them there anymore. I was just pointing out that it doesn’t work that way. If you can find information from a particular advertiser, saying that it has specifically pulled advertising from Beck’s show, then that’s significant information. But you can’t tell anything about an advertiser’s position re Beck just by watching to see what companies’ ads are being shown during the show.
yuk!
Tune in to see someone who truly loves his country...sees what is happening to it behind closed doors and is standing tall to do something about it!!! Glenn Beck!!!!
