The very idea of my allegedly intelligent black coworkers voting for President 0bama based purely upon his skin pigmentation is beyond shocking. Yes, after the canonization of Martin Luther King, and the high degree of reverence his work and writings are held by the black community, it is highly disturbing and disappointing to see that they are perhaps the most race conscious and discriminatory of all people in the US.
And you're right about conservatives. In this upside-down world, it's actually we who have taken MLK's words to heart, and actually live by them.
I've attempted to get people in my family to see the depth of this hypocrisy, to no avail. They're so poisoned by class hatred indoctrination from the left that they're blinded to what's right in front of them.

Obamas ratings seem likely to rise again if he wins passage of healthcare legislation this fall.
I’m glad you picked up on this. I saw Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday with Newt and Howard Dean. Dean said that his party lost in 1994 because they DIDN’T pass health care and the only way from them to win 2010 is to go ahead and do it now.
He used the Bush tax cuts as an example of Republicans using their majority to pass controversial legislation and still came out on top.
I was thinking to myself when I saw that, You lost in 1994 because you TRIED to take over health care and handed us what was then the largest tax increase in history. When people come out protesting in droves against a piece of crap like socialzed medicine, and have to show them who is boss they get rather perterbed.
We like benign government. We don’t want to have to worry about what the heck it is doing while we carry on with our busy lives. When it threatens to turn things upside down by taking such personal choices out of our hands for some ideological self-gratification, it is just too much.
It just goes to show how out of touch with mainstream America these people really are.

I agree with you... people hate the health care legislation. They want to see the economy improve and they truly want to see the Congress quit spending money we don’t have!

Its extremely disheartening to think that there were enough of the above voters to elect an empty suit...
You forgot to factor in the journalists.

Out here in the Golden State we still have white women in particular with their 0bama bumper stickers. In my neighborhood, not far away, there is a house with a BO lawn sign in the front yard, as if it were October 2008 still.
There are still a number of BO bumper stickers (though they tend to be scarce on the cars in the mass transit parking lot on weekdays, heh heh) and BO signs in windows (college students?) near the campus.

A lot of it has to due with his secrecy and failing to give out his birth certificate... imo

A great cartoon. Yes the whites who voted for Obama were naive fools. They acted stupidly and they need to feel stupid for a while. They need to go through some period of pain. This is part of the recovery process.
In fact some of my relatives voted for Obama. This caused me quite a bit of pain and we had very nasty arguments about it. I called them stupid to their faces. I haven't talked politics to them since but I can sense that they are now in pain and feeling extremely stupid. I won't rub it in because nobody likes a sore winner. But I will be keeping tabs on these folks and will try to persuade them to do a little more research on a candidate before making a decision that you might regret.
A big part of the recovery process is to elect conservatives in the 2010 elections. If the Republicans can take back Congress, Obama can be stopped before he destroys the country. This is how people can redeem themselves.

Your tone in describing the discomfort caused by commie bruts is the very form and function of benignity, I must say.
Touch my doctor and I’ll carve out your liver with my thumb and index finger, you Bolshevik a-holes!
That’s more my style, actually.
But, yes, I too prefer a benign government.

The people who are leaving him can’t be said to be racially motivated, since they voted for him in the first place.

The headline says it. LA Times is injecting the racial divide.
The parent company Chicago Tribue put out the most ridiculous poll stating that the nation is evenly split on Zer0’s economic performance.

obama IS A FLAMING RACIST THAT HATES WHITEY AND AMERICA... do you think that might have something to do with whitey dropping his or her support for him? WE have seen where the real hate and racism resides... and there is a bunch of it at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue today.

You have no idea how the media and government are going to cover its passage do you? It will be bigger news than the second coming of Jesus. It will be a celebration of everything that is Obama for months on end.And the celebration will be largely consequence-free for up to two years, since most of the provisions don't go into effect until 2013.

The libs in my family still support him 100%. Haven't heard a single one of them express any doubt about Obama yet. Pretty sad, eh? You know the saying, you can't pick your relatives. Hopefully the gene pool from that part of the family missed you.
