CNN's Brazile Defends Jones: 'Let Me Just Say to Conservatives There's Nothing Wrong with Liberals'
Newsbusters ^ | September 7, 2009 | Jeff Poor

The evidence is in on Van Jones. He's and admitted communist, signed a petition supporting 9/11 conspiracy theories and has called Republicans a series of vulgar names, and according to Democratic strategist Donna Brazile - there's nothing wrong with that.

Brazile, a CNN regular, appeared on CNN's Sept. 7 "The Situation Room," and reacted to Jones' Sept. 5 late-night resignation.

"All I know is if you made a controversial statement and you're liberal - you're labeled as a radical and that's wrong."

I would say that a series of statements might connote a specific philosophy. In Van Jones' case, a communist one. I believe the label is appropriate.

Look Brazil. We didn’t drag Jones out of the White House bunker. HE RESIGNED YOU IDIOT!

The press did everything they could to cover for Jones too - but they can't keep the lid on all the stories now that we have FOX news and the internet and radio. Too bad Brazil - the truth got out and he QUIT.

Yep, that’s right. I don’t have a thing against liberals, despite their ignorance and intolerance. What I don’t like are the communists and progressive socialists that are becoming so prevalent with this pretender in office.

It’s time to take back the country.

"And let me just say something about the so-called czars," Brazile added. "I don't know if it's 15 or 30. I don't care if it's five. President Obama is assembling the best and brightest to help transform our economy to ensure that we can adapt to the new conditions that face us each and every day. These are people with special expertise."

"Let me just say that Van Jones was a very, very intelligent man," Brazile said. "A Yale graduate, someone who came up from the public schools of Jackson, Tenn. to make something of himself. People have a deep and abiding respect for his expertise for on the environment."

******

Except for the fact that he can't describe a 'green job' or name one!

******

It's no surprise that one of the biggest supporters of the Apollo Alliance is the United Steelworkers Alliance — labor leaders see green jobs as a way to fight outsourcing and keep manufacturing alive in America. And there is a strong political component to green-collar jobs, which is why presidential candidates love talking about them so much.

Touting green-collar jobs can convince skeptical, blue-collar Americans that they have an economic stake in curbing climate change.

a green-collar job can be anything that helps put America on the path to a cleaner, more energy efficient future. That means jobs in the public transit sector, jobs in green building, jobs in energy efficiency — even traditional, blue-collar manufacturing jobs, provided what you're making is more or less green.

So, over and over again, we have these people endorsing the radical Van Jones. Perhaps there is little practical difference between “liberal” and “communist” - at least in the Democrats’ minds.

So, the nation is headed for a round of socialism - or Marxism, as the case may be. And these people don’t care at all.

I wouldn’t characterize the people running the Democratic Party today as “liberals”, anyway. There’s nothing liberal about them.

Brazile is simply pleading ignorance. The man said he was a Commie, and that’s that. BTW, Brazile wouldn’t really need to plead ignorance ~ she’s just plain ignorant ~ almost all the time. It’s a wonder she can sit down and whiz.

Right...because we all know intelligent people sign documents they haven't read. At least that's what this doufus wants us to believe.

...having said that, I will still be in R camp next election cycle..

....if there has not formed a credible Conservative party before then...

Donna Brazile, huh, seems to me she was the adviser on the failed Gore campaign that said on a live mic, “We’re not gonna let the white boys win” or “Don’t let the white boys win.”

Anyone else recall this? Just another racist democrat.

She’s a progressive and progressivism is collectivism is a mental problem.

I disagree. Let's not theraputize what really is evil. Plain, naked, smirking evil. You can't 'cure' collectivism any more than you can 'negotiate' with cancer.

She’s just running cover for all the other radicals in Obama’s administration. If people can be inured to Van Jones’ radicalism (being brain-washed into believing that this is just “liberalism” in a liberal administration), then it will be easier to get them to look the other way when more facts come out about other administration personnel (”ho hum, he’s not a Communist, just a good liberal”).

"...All I know is if you made a controversial statement and you're liberal - you're labeled as a radical and that's wrong..."

Well, of course, Ms. Brazile. That is because "Stage One Reasoning" (as Thomas Sowell puts it) is a genetic requirement for Liberalism.

She can see it is a controversial statement.

She can see him as a liberal.

But when she hears Van Jones characterized as a "Radical" she has no frame of reference outside her of her own frame that she can view it in.

And because she is a liberal where engaging in groupthink is part of the air that you breathe, and that is all she knows. As a liberal, she does not view Van Jones as an "individual" (and certainly not an individual as Adam Smith or F.A. Hayek would define an "individual")

She sees him as a part of a group or groups, and her only interest in him is how his groups intersect and interact.

She sees a group of people defined to her as liberals. She sees another group called radicals. She doesn't see Van Jones as an individual who has been shaped to a large degree by the environment around him, and she DEFINITELY doesn't see Van Jones as being bound by or responsible for the words that come out of his mouth. She is, after all, a Kool-Aid drinking liberal who said when running Al Gore's campaign: "...She will not let the "white boys" win. And that's not a description of "gender or race, it's an attitude. A white-boy attitude is 'I must exclude, denigrate and leave behind..."

As Ann Coulter sarcastically (appropriately so) pointed out, her BOSS was one of those "white boys"...

I have long maintained, most liberals are incapable of appreciating irony. To appreciate irony, to be able to step back and look at yourself is a critical tool, and most dyed-in-the-wool liberals don't have it, in my opinion.

In this case, Donna Brazile, whose entire scope of ideological existence is primarily based on lumping people together in groups to be pandered to, she is so shallow that she misses the cause and effect of this situation and engages in that which she criticizes.

If nothing else, she does have a knack for generating irony.
