As I posted on another thread, unless this speech is prerecorded and read from the TOTUS, Zero could go aff script and ad lib comments. This man is not to be trusted!

Neil is just attacking Republicans with strawman arguments so he can justify his self labeled libertarian side.

....that speech, the watered down version, is still a prayer to obama...

$$$$$$

Absolutely! And in a school system where traditional religion, including any mention of moral values, has been totally scrubbed, children are being directed to think of 0 as a being just a little bit divine.

“What can you do to help your [very special] president?”

instead of

“What can you do to help our [very special] country?”

The speech was never intended to be anything other than a string of gassy platitudes. The real indoctrination was the job of the NEA agents.

Those agents ears perked up when he spoke of the need for "critical thinking skills". They know what that is. It isn't thinking at it. It is teaching kids to critique everything to the point that they are afraid to make a judgement about anything lest they be criticized...the goal is to eliminate independent thought and encourage students to do the easy thing....follow instructions from their betters...obey the great leader and the elites.

Neal has proved once again that a person can become mentally frozen by over-thinking a situation. It is precisely that the GreatZero got called on this BS by so many people that his speech has morphed into a narcissistic exercise from the planned ideological indoctrination.

--that he was too poor to go to school where the other "American kids" went to school

Look carefully. You have included the word "other" where in the speech he does not. It was specifically worded that way, I believe, to be both truthful (he was NOT an American kid) and deceptive - (wanting the listener to believe he was to be included in that group)

“Does he have any kids? Can he imagine life with kids?”

Doesn't seem like it, or at least I hope not since Boortz is so quick to reduce our beloved children to “nose pickers”.

That kind of shows you were his priorities are at. Politics before children. Or probably more accurately his own bank account before children.

I was listening to him on the web the other day, Nixing any Consiracy theory and Sarah’s One liner the “death panels”. I am getting a little tired of Him, Levin, and Savage and their pissing matches, especially against Glenn. Penis Envy IMHO, get over your bad selfs and go after the other Czars before we are Communist Cuba.

Number one, it’s not part of his job/responsibilities; and number two, I don’t want them to start a precedent.

Exactly. And what bothers me most is that the speech to kids was in a 'forced attendance' type of setting. Which makes it an intrusion into people's personal lives. A case of having BO force-fed down our throats whether we want to listen to him or not, an overbearing, suffocating, supremely egotistical omni-presence of BO personality that requires super-human efforts to escape from.

Boortz’s argument is cheap and silly. It is pure Monday morning quarterbacking.

He misses the key point that this whole exercise glorifies the role of the “leader” and legitimizes the role of teachers and the Teacher Unions in introducing a socialist agenda into the schools. It worked in the colleges and it is now being extended into the schools. The real messaging was in the pre-work and the exercises that followed. Read Alinsky.

Boortz has missed the point. It wasn’t the speech, it was the lesson guide that was distributed ahead of time. Even conservative commentators said the speech would probably be innocuous. But the teacher’s guide that was provided had assignments like: Write a letter to yourself describing what you can do to help President Obama.

Neal gets it wrong on multiple dimensions.

First - no we're not going to let our guard down the next time Barry wants access to our kids. Yes, we'll raise a stink again.

This speech is clearly targeting the inner city gang-banger - not Johnny from the glee club.

Barry coops a chunk of the school day out of the blue, bypasses parents and superintendents and goes right to principals, creates a lesson plan which includes - how to support Obama and why we should obey politicians, plus Barry worked with a Weather Underground terrorist on the Annenburg Foundation to indoctrinate teachers with Alinsky social justice crap - not to advance student knowledge.

Why in God's green earth would I let my son sit at the feet of an Alinsky teaching, Van Jones loving radical? What can this man teach my child that he doesn't already poses?

Apparently Boortz cannot think logically anymore. (A common liberal trait)

Look at the current version of the speech. It is an innocuous “Stay in school, don’t drop out, do your very very bestest!!”

No typical Obama anti-american comments- so unlike him..

And.. if this is the original speeach, then what was that ‘study guide’ that was sent to all the teachers a month ago asking “What does the President want me to do? and How can I help the President”

Obama's speech was never the purpose of this exercise. The purpose is for the teachers to identify those youngsters who are already "true believers" and single them out for special promotion and privilege. We are witnessing the development of the "Obama Youth," much like every Leftist dictator develops, to carry on Leftist agenda when the leader is gone.

Republican screaming and wailing made it sound as if Hugo Chavez was flying in via Aeroflot to speak to our poor, innocent, unsuspecting angels.

Not a republican here but an American that will protect my grandchildren form the likes of Obama with every fiber of my body.
Sorry Neil,if it loooks like a Chavez, talks like a Chavez acts like a Chavez, then maybe it is a Chavez..........

Your absolutely correct. Boortz is an example of why I could never stand attending corporate meetings. It’s always a case of “smartest guy in the room!”
Everyone trying to appear the smartest, not for the good of the meeting but for their own self-aggrandizement!
