Why don’t you go to the next town hall meeting or tea party and ask them if they are going to be “lulled back to sleep”?

I think that rank & file Democrat voters are finally feeling embarrassed that they voted for NObama.

The hair shirt of embarrassment is hard to put on and take off at will. It sticks for a long time.

We are at that stage where we hug the pillow over our eyes right after we hit the snooze button and think “Man it’s too early to get up.”

But we can’t go back to sleep because we know what is coming in 10 minutes so we lay there and daydream of better times.

Here is how we can tell if the country has awakened: If BHO advocates the public (socialist) option this evening before Congress, if every Republican stood up and walked right out—that would convince me that we have a real uprising going on.

Not yet. But some are stirring. When the giant wakes, the yawn will be heard.

Unfortunately, I believe it will take more of the worst in this country to get the traditional vote skippers engaged and educated before more of the apathy crowd is moved to act.

That said, when you see the tides reach 60 to 65% it will be a good bet America is starting to wake up.

Question:
Are the American citizens capable of ‘self governance’?

They value the idea of FREEDOM, but even Republicans look to DC to help them with their local issues (money).
How much are the American people willing to sacrifice for their Freedom?

Some but not enough to cause a change in the socialist agenda. I did find it interesting that there were a couple of “union” callers on Rush yesterday claiming that the rank and file are waking up and listening to him. But that is just radio talk and no verification.

No. I don’t think we will be lulled. The FIGHT or FLIGHT instinct is there for our survival. I think people realize this. We are in a REAL fight for our survival, and there is no turning back.

I respectfully disagree. Think about when America has been "fully engaged" in the past....9/11? Pearl Harbor? Kennedy Assassination? Amnesty (maybe not even fully)? Vietnam Anti-war?

There are examples when the "overwhelming majority" of Americans actively capture the same idea and speak with the same opinion. But I would define "fully engaged" as every American (85%) fully aware of the spending issues, cap and trade, health care, foreign appeasement policy, etc. When as many people can name the president and vice president as watch American Idol, I believe the saturation point of "fully engaged" would be appropriate.

When American's are "fully engaged", the world feels the rumble and politicians become servants of the people.

The “guilty whites” thought they were buying absolution for past sins by voting for the guy.

They now found out they were ripped off. This guy has no intention of “letting it go” - he’s going to crank up the racial tension to the max by doing everything he can to get payback for grievances real or imagined.

The number of people who have “woken up” and are now engaged in political battle is still tiny compared to the population. The number of people who will assemble in DC on 9/12, after months of organizing, will be small compared to the number of people liberals got to demonstrate, on short notice, for amnesty for illegal invaders. There might be some movement, but the power is still with the liberals.

I have often remarked that this country required a serious wake-up call from its periodic idiotic dalliances with leftist “leaders” and suggested that we needed a dedicated Marxist in the White House to rub our noses in the REAL DEAL. We got one with Obama and he may prove to be the best thing that ever happened to the cause of freedom here.

While making that suggestion, my fingers were crossed. On one hand, I feared that the majority of modern-day, government schooled folk and welfare leeches would come to embrace Marxist philosophy and practice and America — the IDEA — would come to an end. On the other hand, I held out hope that my fellow citizens would reject this alien ideology and rebel in a demonstrable way. I thank God that the latter is happening as I write this. The anger and outrage are palpable to even the hard-core leftists now infesting the White House. Barring some catastrophe — which malignant Machiavellians like Rahm “A crisis is too good to waste” Emanuel are fully capable of orchestrating — they will be shown the gate at the next election.

But what has puzzled me most through the run-up to this point (with some notable exceptions of which Georgia’s Dr. Broun and Dr. Price are but two) – is this: WHERE ARE THE PRINCIPLED MEN — REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ALIKE — WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN STANDING UP TO THIS GUY?? In order that they might avoid the tough questions inherent in governing this nation, have they shipped so much of THEIR power down Pennsylvania Avenue that they are now AFRAID to reclaim it? Why has it fallen to Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, Rep. Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush, Boortz and a handful of others – in Washington and without — to do the job of those we elected to office – and swore an oath — to guard the Constitution from “...all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC?” They have largely been MIA!

And, while they have been missing, Obama has appointed more czars than the Russians had through their entire history. I asked Chambliss and Isakson (REPUBLICANS from Georgia) if they were just a tad worried that Obama was forming a politbureau here to replace THEM. I’m still waiting for a response that makes sense.

And one final thought as we look forward to replacing the Marxist-n-Thief come 2012: What sort of people have we elected when a small, attractive mother from Alaska named Sarah has BIGGER CAJONES than the alleged MEN now warming seats and wasting expensive space on that hill at the eastern end of Pennsylvania Avenue?

I’m just asking the question we all should be asking.

Have YOU asked the question?

That’s a question from which we weave nightmares.
My reading of the Tea Party crowd and certainly the Town Hall conservatives is that they are tough and worried.
The left is dangerously misreading the situation, ‘how could any sane person not love these dolts?’

Two things have to happen for people to wake up:
#1) Lose their money or standard of living
#2) Lose their freedom...then it’s already too late.

Period and end of story...Until then, they will remain asleep.

However, I think the unemployment numbers are GROSSLY understated and that accounts for more and more of the people showing up at TEA parties.

GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS THEN AND NOW VIDEO AT:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0lR1KQq2-U

“The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.” Abraham Lincoln
“When an opponent declares, ‘I will not come over to your side,’ I calmly say, ‘Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community’.”
Adolph Hitler Speech November 1933
Until the decent, traditional values folk rise up and clean up the freaking government schools, nothing else we do will make much difference.

Here's what I posted earlier in a thread about using the nuclear option to pass death care: "If they do this, and the economy improves just enough next year that the sheeple start to love Obie again, our only hope to save our Republic lies in the Tea Party and 912 groups (and FR, of course). They have had quite good results as you can see by the town halls, etc. Building on this is essential to get Dims and RINOs out and Conservatives in office."
