CA Assemblyman Caught on Hot Mic Offering Lewd Details of Affair with Lobbyist

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A Republican state lawmaker from Southern California was ousted Wednesday from two legislative committees after he was caught on tape bragging about having sex with female lobbyists.

Assemblyman Mike Duvall of Yorba Linda made the comments to another man during a break in a committee meeting at the Capitol over the summer, and they were caught on a microphone at his desk.

From the article:

Duvall apologized Wednesday for the comments on his campaign Web site.

"I made a mistake and I sincerely apologize," he said in the brief statement. "I deeply regret the comments I made in what I believed to be a private conversation. This is a private matter and I ask that everyone respect the privacy of all involved."

<snip>

Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, D-Los Angeles, <snip>

"I am saddened and disappointed in the recent comments made by Assemblymember Mike Duvall," Bass said in a statement. "There is no question his comments were inappropriate."

Assembly Minority Leader Sam Blakeslee, R-San Luis Obispo, said he also asked Duvall to step down as a member of the Republican caucus leadership.

"The statements he made were inappropriate and unacceptable," Blakeslee said.
Seems like everyone is OK with what this jerk did, but appalled that he talked about it in such crude terms.

Duvall is sorry he made the comments. Speaker Bass is disappointed about the comments, and the Republican Leader, Mr. Blakeslee says the statments were inappropriate.

Curiously, nobody will say the affair(s) were wrong.

When are Americans going to wise up to government?

At all levels, government has become a massive corrupt entity, that has completely lost sight of who they work for.

Government at all levels has proved over and over and over that they can no longer be trusted and have reached a level of arrogant corruption that should make most Americans recoil, as these corrupt traitors pimp their power to the highest bidders.

All the geography I had to know in school is where the Alamo was located.

Excuse me - located at. My third grade Texas semantics teacher would have me standing in the corner.

This really hurts us here in California. This poser has let us all down when we need to be building our party. It's the last thing we need.

Stop with this bull sh*t.

The entire state government, is corrupt, along with their their lucrative tax paid salaries, their top shelf medical benefits and their lottery style government retirement pensions... It's all corrupt many...These people are sluts

While Americans are being jack hammered and beat like a drum, losing their investments, jobs, businesses and pensions, these AHs are counting their bribes, protecting their own high end government retirement pensions, and bragging about banging lobbyist that are totally f'ing the tax payers.

Probably because most of them would have to "step down" too, if they were held to that standard.

The entire state government is not corrupt and there are many Republican Assembly folk and Senators in California that work and have fought really hard against the Democratic majority and the liberal Republican governors (that includes more than just our current one).

That Republicans all over the country keep shooting themselves in the foot is very disheartening. Part of the problem is that Republicans find this sort of behavior unacceptable while Democrats don’t care. Their politicians (read Teddy, Frank, Clinton, etc.) keep on getting re-elected while we don’t want representatives with such huge moral deficiencies.

I guess that we just need to continue cycling through them and keep the ones that measure up. Again, very disheartening.

The entire state government is not corrupt

Yes it is...They're corrupt leadership over the past 10 plus years is evident all over the state...Their state government unions, these corrupt assemblymen, the corrupt legislature, the governor, all of them...They can't balance a simple common sense budget, and these AHs are in charge?

In the private sector, they'd be fired on the spot, and most would likely prosecuted for theft and embezzlement, among other charges.

If ya gave 3/4 of these AHs an alcohol drug test, their unine would have a head on it, the rest test positive for cocaine and pot. Bet the rent.

These corrupt AHs are the most arrogant, self serving club of government insider ever imagined.

The entire state government is not corrupt

Ya got a state with 5 f'ing million illegal aliens in it, and the state forces the legitimate citizens to wait behind 5,000 pregnant GD illegal aliens at the emergency room daily, as the illegals dump more anchor babies on the legitimate citizens, as the corrupt state government insiders force the citizens at gun point to pay for this lawless perversion of epic insanity.

I can go on for hours about this titanic, historic corruption

Don't give me this bullshit the entire state government isn't corrupt. They're more corrupt than the mob, or the drug cartels that are paying this state government off.

I’m sick of people like this running the people’s business.

Ya see how our so call Republicans on this site run and hide from this article? Shouldn't they be outraged?

Or does this make them uncomfortable because it's the their corrupt party, as opposed to the other corrupt party?

They don't have enough guts to come on here and admit government at all levels has become a camp of whores, liars, and lobbyist humping corrupt self serving traitors.

Look at the state of this country for crying out loud.

Government has totally subverted honesty, our laws, our principals, and the greed for power and total control over everything should make every American recoil.

OC Register is now saying all the other corrupt in Sacramento were saying in the hallways, "He could have never have gotten women like this if he didn't have this "job".

This has been going on a long time...All these lobbyist humping sluts up in Sacramento knew about this...

They government corrupt have to throw Duvall under the bus, because he all but stood on top of the capital roof and broadcasted with a mega-phone that he was banging a lobbyist out in the hallways of the capital.
