All I can say is this was a bad business decision. I just took KNEW off my preset stations.
Take a look at the comments...it tells the story!
Bye KNEW!
Hard to imagine, Savage not in SF. Weird. Perhaps he will eventually head to Florida.
And so it begins...Can’t wait to here Michael tonight.
An hour a day of Savage is more than enough for me.
Is this really a surprise?
Savage should join Foxnews alongside Bill OReilly, Don Imus, Glenn Beck, and others.
John and Ken are not much different philosophically than Savage.
Wow...just wow. Looks like my drive home at night just got a bit less interesting. Depending on when I leave work I’m jumping back and forth between Sussman/Levin on KSFO and Savage on KNEW. KNEW just lost me for good.
The gay Communists don’t want anyone threatening their Socialist fantasies.
heh. He opened with “That’s Life” by Sinatra.
I’m no Michael Savage fan but this is not a good sign. One wonders when the automakers will develop a really good Internet Radio system for their vehicles. Something easy to use and cell-phone or satellite based. I use a simple Internet Radio at home and can basically listen to any talk radio show I like 24/7. A system like this for automobiles, if widely adopted, would greatly reduce the impact of this sort of political censorship.
Fox Radio perhaps, but Fox News TV, will never happen. O'Reilly, Hannity et al seem to have nothing short of disdain for Savage. They are mute about Savage being banned in the UK.
Thankfully, those of us here in the Bay Area can still pick up Savage on KSTE 650 out of Sacramento. The signal’s quite strong too.
Good riddance KNEW! Don’t let the door hit you in the arse.
He’s also not to be found anywhere on any station in Los Angeles. But you can still pick him up from the L.A. area on KFMB-AM which is in San Diego. Or, listen to him online on streaming audio.
Have YOU heard Mark’s comments about Savage? HAHAHAHA....that’s probably why.
Mike couldn’t buy this publicity.
save
Why would they say anything? Micheal Weiner makes fun of them and calls them names all the time.
He made his sarcastic, flea ridden bed let him rot in it!
Mark Levin calls Savage by his REAL name....Michael Weiner...
Considering that Levin (KSFO) is beating Savage in that time slot, KNEW had to do something. Since Armstrong and Getty are pretty popular on KNEW, they decided to pick hosts who are similar in style to them to try to go up against Levin.
Don't know how it started. They're all on the same side and they all do good work. They should mend fences.
He has the feeling toward them. Don't ask me why.
No, he shouldn't. He has a hatred of O'Reilly and he just bashed Beck.
I’ll have to wait about 20 mins. here. Can’t wait.
Replaced by?
Well the way that Savage diss’d them it’s no wonder they wouldn’t stand up for him ...
He’s a real a-hole in real life. He started at KSFO and everyone there hated his guts.
Fixed.
Savage is not good for the Right.
KNEW sucks it!! I’ve been listening via their Savage podcast for years..it was really convenient and had the commercials edited out..what total sissy pantywaists!! They say they are going in a different “philisophical” direction. LAME!!
Savage is on the same time slot on this station out of Sacramento but now I have to find a way to get it via podcast:
It went well beyond the A-hole level. He purposefully set about to push out a Bay Area conservative legend - Jim Eason. He began persistent attacks and when that didn't give him the traction he began to accost Jim's daughter who was producing his show. Jim retired to North Carolina rather than continue to deal with Savage.
Savage is a fictional character played (poorly) by Michael Weiner.
He’s divisive towards Levin because Levin is whipping his @$$ in the ratings. I knew when the day came and Levin was going toe to toe with WeinerNation in S.F., he’d go back to selling herbal medicines.
Levin regularly makes fun of Weiner Nation, seems to have a deep disdain for Savage.
That's entirely untrue, let's try not to let our dislike for someone encourage us to 'bear false witness' against them.
Savage has it out primarily for Rush and O'Reilly, less so for Hannity, he never mentioned Levin until Levin got on the air and started attacking him in defense of his butt buddies, Hannity and Rush. He still rarely mentions Levin in relation to the others.
Actually, what happened is when WABC in New York dropped Savage for Levin, Savage got picked up by WOR and claimed he had the top spot in ratings, when he didn’t. Levin was cleaning his clock every ratings period in New York. He even offered $50K if Weiner could prove he was telling the truth.
When I was leaving work my radio dial was tuned to the station which carries Savage and he was blathering away about something to do with him being the only one covering some story - It took me all of about 30 seconds to plug in my Ipod and tune him out. That 30 seconds was more than enough for me.
What were you saying about bearing false witness against someone???
Savage is an acquired taste. He occasionally has some great insights and has taken some good direct legal action/support. His delivery, however, is a real problem most of the time.
You know what my point was, don’t try to turn the tables on me, you have your own problem with ‘hating’ Savage with false premises.
I have mixed feelings about this. I richly doubt that John & Ken will fit the bill, but Savage did this to himself.
THE GOOD:
1. He’s original and funny
2. He can realllllly land a punch when he wants to (best example is probably against that fat slob lefty child molesting church hater who pee’d in Mikes fedora, from KGO)
3. He’s good at mixing politics with personal vignettes
4. He has a great eye for detail, image, and poetry
5. Extremely good knack for adopting leftist tactics, then USING it on them with relish (almost none of our guys do this...maybe Ann Coulter and a few others)
6. Integrates fun into political attack at every opportunity
7. Can quickly recognize and dispose of listener calls that are going nowhere
8. Effectively avoids some popular show killers (”HR 232.4 has moved from special cabinet session into BLAH BLAH BLAH —give some thought to putting a call to the WH switchboard at 1-800 BLAH BLAH BLAH.......”)
THE BAD:
1. He loves the idea that he’s being BETRAYED —undertakes actions that turn this into self-fulfilling prophecy
2. Admonishes competitors about taking his ideas, all while doing exactly that to others
3. Laments bad workplace treatment at the hands of others (antique store, UC Berkeley, Food & Beverage companies, NY social services), then turns around and VERY RICHLY hands this over to others, often without ANY reason at all.
4. Calls for unswerving loyalty from listeners, then short-changes them with clumsily pre-recorded interviews
5. Lifts up his fans to the heavens (I have the smartest audience in talk radio), then grinds them into the dirt (You probably didn’t know that...)
6. Boasts of robust scientific knowledge, only to later bungle much of the basics
7. Gives off occasional signs that selling something is undignified (a staple or leftists and academics in general)
8. Politically unreliable (often takes exactly the opposite political position on some topic the next day, or even the next hour)
9. Might not even really be a conservative
10. Shuns any critique however constructive as a personal slight by some NOTHING WORM IN HIS MOTHER’S BASEMENT BANGING AWAY ON A KEYBOARD
PS - SCREW YOU MIKE, YOU SCUMBAG, YOU’RE NOT HALF THE MAN RUSS IS AND YOU FRIGGING **KNOW** IT
Really? What evidence do you have to make that false claim against me. Using a poor argument to make your point doesn’t lend well to convincing anyone of your point. Just ask Obozo about that.
Michael Savage is a nutjob. Stations that carry him are making a poor business decision. Understand?
Michael Savage called the Oil Industry in America a “monopoly”.
Savage is always saying dumb things.
I liked Michael Savage’s show at first, but after a while it became very wearing. A one-note samba. And I didn’t like his habit of savaging callers he disagreed with.
You have issues and I feel no need to try to make any 'points' with you concerning Savage because I already know you're a lost cause in that respect.
The man can be brilliant at times. But unfortunately, he is nothing but a con man, and a pr!ck as well. He plays the role of a disgruntled poor-me conservative on the radio that “everybody has it out for”, when who knows what he really is politically?
He may be a Lib — he donated serious money to Gov. Moonbeam (Jerry Brown) in his campaign for I think it was CA AG. Would a real conservative do that? Hell no.
Hmmmm. Me thinks you doth protest too much. So, tell me, which comment did I make where I stated I hate Savage? And, just who is it that you are referring to with your “your ilk” comment? Which snarky comment have I made on this post? The one where I stated I listened for 30 seconds and that was more than I could take? Which part was “snarky”? Perhaps the part about Savage’s claim that he’s the only one in the universe who is covering whatever topic he was referring to? Games? Oh, you mean the one your playing where you use the exact tactic you accuse others of in your snarky attacks against them? I’ll say this; you and Savage are two peas in a pod. You both make wild accusations against other people without any evidence while complaining about their tactics (which you then employ in our attacks). Pathetic.
