Can’t deny he’s very entertaining! Interesting that he had to serve his full sentence when really dangerous crimimals are freed early—murderers included!

Good for you, but seriously - why would anyone want to be associated with Traficant TODAY???? The guy is/was a crook. Granted, his wrong-doing was minimal compared to the Obama sheltered U.S. representatives and senators today.

He paid his debt. He lived to tell about it and hopefully has learned his lesson.
He at least should get a fair chance afterward.

Unfortunately, Obama could use Trafficant to accomplish his goal to cut off Israel.

Mostly because the guy is amusing and quite sharp. There was major misconduct and perjury at his trial. Capri Cafaro wanted his seat and what Capri wanted her daddy would get for her.
He never really was a Washington insider, Traficant was true to his roots. If you were one of his he would look out for you.
Perfect, never. The kind of guy you would have over for a beer? Yep.

I didn't say he shouldn't "get a fair chance (afterward)" and don't understand your remark. What exactly is the "kind of chance" you want to give him? Are you implying that you would support him in a congressional role again or what exactly?

Methinks don Trafficante was housed in the same wing as the Aryan Brotherhood.
Now, he’s just Jim “Da JOOOOS! Da JOOOOS!” Trafficante.

Don,
He thinks he was targeted by Israel for embarassing them on Demjanjuk - they were forced to acquit after Traficant did a Freedom of Information to find the exculpating evidence that the Justice Dept was witholding.
Traficant got off easy - one Israeli defense lawyer was thrown out of a 20 story window and the other was blinded with acid.
To: swheats
I saw him on Greta, he’s a damn antisemite! Typical machine democrap, those of you who are proud of voting for him should be ashamed. lol, spell check is completely hosed right now.

Granted, Traficant was amusing but he knew the D.C. drill - even though he got caught up in the corrupted musings. I’m sick of excusing those who break the law and I don’t give a flying crap if he was sharp enough to join Mensa or Maniacs.
I really do wish Traficant the best, but he really does need to find the exit door.

WOW!! Fox News certainly had a week, didn't it? Van Jones, ACORN and now this.
Like to crawl around the head of Cindy Sheehan and other anti-Israeli lefties right about now and watch the gears clatter and clunk as they process this being on their arch-enemy and nemesis Fox News and not their beloved MSNBC.

I am not excusing him.
There was major misconduct at his trial, that is a fact. That he sailed very close to the wind and probably crossed the line is undoubtedly true as well. Viewing the trial I am just not sure he was convicted of something he actually did.
If, as is reported here, he is blaming the Israelis then that is both sad and quite wrong of him.

As I’ve said I don’t believe he’s anti-semite. It’s too easy to name call. That’s like calling a person a racist just for telling the truth.
I thought he would have said more about Geitner, Rangel and the others who were tax cheats.

Many went through the 1930s in Europe not wanting to believe either.
I grew up around many dozens of people just a few years out of the Concentration camps with numbers on their arm.
Saying Traf. is not an anti semite is like saying Obama
is just a misguided liberal

I dont believe hes an anti-semite. Me neither.
I mean, of course he's not an anti-semite. He just hates Jews, is all. No biggie.
All pleasantries aside, I've known antisemites -- I've got scars on my body I see every day to remind me that they really do exist -- and believe me, I can smell the stench a mile away.
don Traficante stinks.

Seems I’m not gonna talk you out of this.
Trafficant didn’t come on my radar until he was trying to talk his way out of going to prison.
I really don’t know his background. Hopefully he didn’t come out like Van Jones. Prison, I guess, will offer jailhouse religion or radical Islam or something.

You know, lots of people here dont realize that this is not your Father’s Israel.
Israel was flooded with crooks when the Russians opened up their prisons who all of a sudden became solemn Jews...until they got to Tel Aviv. Sex slaves, body parts, drugs - this is not what Golda and others had in mind.
Trafficant thinks he was targeted for finding the information that freed Demjanjuk from the noose and he got off a lot better than, for instance, the two Israeli lawyers who were blinded and murdered.
THAT is antisemitism - targeting two Israeli lawyers that saved an innocent man from the noose.
To: MadelineZapeezda
..his rant on Israel controlling our foreign policy (read Jews because he mentions Wolfowitz, a US citizen) convinces me that he is a nutcase--entertaining at times, but a nutcase...

I saw him on Greta, last night. He is no longer lovable. He actually sounded a little nuts, last night. He was extremely anti-Israel and seemed to be trying to ingratiate himself to Obama, saying that Obama seems to be aware of the actions of the Israeli government. Greta seemed embarrassed, but said nothing.
