Don’t eat corn! Convert it to ethanol and burn it in your clunker.

Most of the things we eat became staple food items before all this schizoid testing was possible. I believe that if all food were subjected to the current analysis, we'd all starve to death.

Almost ALL plants contain some kind of toxin as defense against herbivorous animals. Look hard enough, you'd ban most, especially potatoes, tomatoes, almonds, apples, apricots, peaches... Don't even get started on meat and seafood. We'd be living on reds, vitamin C, and cocaine.

A decline in general health in the US since 1996? She may be cute, she’s not too smart.

I’m scared to death of GMF’s. This is the kind of stupid scientific stuff that could end mankind.

Omni magazine, back in the 1970’s ran an article regarding all the scary sounding chemicals in processed foods. What they did was show really nicely done photographs of various pieces of fruit with a “government required contents list” based solely on the organic fruit.

They all looked just as scary, from Oranges to Strawberries to Apples.

Every single bite of food you put into your mouth has been genetically modified one way or the other.

Every. Single. Bite.

ALLIANCE FOR BIO-INTEGRITY

Preserving the Safety of Our Food, the Health of Our Environment,
and the Harmony of Our Relationship with Nature

Who is this group, the source of the documents and what is their true agenda? Seem like another Radical Green group to me, & frankly, tho I have always been concerned about the Green movement, Earthday, etc. but after the Van Jones stuff, I am more suspicious of Green stuff than ever.

That’s a problem conservatives have. We tend to believe in “business” and dis-believe in gov’t. Remember the tobacco cancer reports? Cigarettes should have been put on the fast track to extinction decades ago. Sometimes the sky really is falling.

You obviously don't understand what GMO means, they take viruses, bacteria, cells from jellyfish, even instects and blast them at high speed to combine with plant DNA to form new creations, in fact, they most of the crops today kill pests when pests eat them becasue they are natural pesticides, this is the problem here. You guys don't have a clue what is going on. We are eating food with soil bacterium that have been proven to make the cross kingdom jump from plant to animal and can live in man.

Since GMO introduction the number statistics in dramatic rise of disease are indeed true.

"One common method used to "insert" genes is to blast them into the DNA with a 22-caliber gene gun. Scientists first coat thousands of tiny shards of gold or tungsten with the foreign gene. Then they point it at a dish of unsuspecting cells. Then they fire, hoping that at least some of the foreign genes will end up in the right place in at least some of the DNA. This, by the way, is what the biotech industry refers to as their highly precise method of gene transfer.

The impact of a gene-coated shard flying at hundreds of mile an hour into the DNA might, as you probably have guessed, result in some structural "consequences". The native genes can be damaged in ways that the engineer might not be able to identify."

Then they douse this concoction with anti-biotics geared to make sure what they think they want is the only thing that survives, problem is, there are thousands of gene variations that survive, we are eating plants that have soil bacterium, insect genes, and genes from jelly fish and other creatures in them. They will soon even have fields of crops that will producing plastic, this is not fiction folks, you have no idea what you are being exposed to.

Gene blasting is common, in fact, every batch of GMO corn even if made exactly the same way never produces the same result, because it's random, this is not like cross breeding breeds of corn folks, we are insert genes from other phylums into our food.

It’s funny how the right continually writes this issue off as leftist cooks, very close minded.
