No word on whether theyll be prosecuting any ACORN people for conspiring to cover up sex slavery. Theyve got bigger fish to fry, I guess. Like
the people who exposed the people who conspired to cover up sex slavery.
Sounds like a hop, skip and a jump for DC patriots to make a stop in Fairyland this weekend..................
If they do....another nail in the coffin of the Bammy administration..
The Democrats will DESTROY anyone who opposes the new socialist regime.
ANYONE.
Obviously, these children are to be sex slaves
at Maryland best child-brothels, only serving the highest
levels of ‘authority’ there.
The whistleblowers deserve a medal, and the perps
should be indicted.
Might be a stretch but I have heard stranger arguments in court.
THIS will be a Ft. Sumter moment! THIS will trigger VERY BAD THINGS FOR DEMOCRATS!!! BRING IT ON!
No surprise. Maryland is run by communists.
Oh, good.
The more this comes out the more dirty laundry gets on the line.
Remember this next time you hear the libs complain about all the people we have in our jails.
I guess Maryland never heard of 60 Minutes
O’Keefe’s video threatens DC politicians’ access to child-prostitutes. For such an offense the full wrath of the law is appropriate.
Most excellent freedom of the press issue.
Mods...please delete if this is inappropiate:
Robert A. Rohrbaugh,
State Prosecutor
State of Maryland
300 East Joppa Road
Hampton Plaza, Suite 410
Towson, MD 21286-3152
410.321.4067 or 1.800.695.4058
Fax: 410.321.3851
information@ospmd.orgDear Mr Rohrbaugh:
I have been watching the shocking story of Acorn representatives, not once, but on two seperate occasions in two separate offices, offering advice to a couple claiming to be setting up a brothel with children imported from central America. Further assistance was sought and offered in cloaking the activity, defrauding the IRS, and cloaking the entire affair to protect the perpetrators' "political viability".
There has been a rather predictable evolution of MSM news coverage, from the pooh-poohing and framing of the initial report to the firing of the two pairs of "counselers" this afternoon.
But THIS piece of news was stunning to me
From AP, quoted on WBAL:
"Baltimore, MD - September 11, 2009 - We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City State's Attornieys Office would initiate a criminal investigations for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to his alleged criminal behavior was a You Tube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audion portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article &10-402 which requires two-party consent.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure, or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years."
I'm not naive. I understand that this organization has incredibly close ties to the current administration and the occupant of the White House. I can only imagine the pressure that may be applied to your office. But I assume, having passed the bar, that you are not stupid. And yet, when presented with a fair piece of evidence that a CHILD PROSTITUTION RING COULD BE AIDED IN ITS SET-UP AND COVERUP, your first move is to investigate the investigator?
We have become a short-memoried population, Mr. Rohrbaugh. But even in your district, I'm certain there are a number of parents of young women who will mark this day.
Please do your job. Investigate whether there are actually government-supported entities under your jurisdiction willing to aid and abet the creation of child prostitution rings under your nose.
Thank you sir.
Hmmm....and no one from "60 Minutes" is in line ahead of him?
I simply don't understand..did he cut in line?../s
“If they do....another nail in the coffin of the Bammy administration..”
If the msm bothers to cover this at all, rest assured that they will make ACORN look like the victims, and ACORN will come out of this smelling like roses.
Maryland is GROUND ZER0 for political corruption . 50 million missing in education budget in one year ,,, no problem ,, no investigation ,, nothing .
A fed up citizen says he’d like to drive down to the state capitol and wring the governors neck and gets arrested ,, charged ,, bail set at $300,000.00 ,, court date gets set .
My hope is that some South American Contras will sneak in to our state and help us take it back from the radical left .
I believe the Democrats are in for a crushing defeat in 2010.
I think this is the same law they used to go after Linda Tripp.
Ok, I am curious, does an agency conducting public business have a reasonable expectation of privacy? And what about dash cams on cop cars, complete with audio. Do they do that in Maryland? I mean, the cop knows its there but the perp hasn’t given permission yet we see that on the web all the time.
Just wondering.
ONLY if we hold our noses at some of the RINOs that are on ballots and vote them in even tho they aren’t perfect......BUT they are a DAMN SIGHT better than ANY DEMOCRAT!
IMHO because ACORN is funded with so much of our taxpayer money, it would seem to me that it’s a public facility. And, like sidewalks and other public places, anybody ought to be able to walk in there and tape conversations and instructions that these non-professional, non-experts are dishing out.

Maryland needs to give itself a good flush to wash away the communist poo.
No surprise here. Maryland indicted Linda Tripp under the same law, under the encouragement of most of the Rat’s State legislators. I’m no lawyer, doubtless many Freeper legal eagles will better recall the issues raised in Tripp’s case. Fortunately Monica was a flawed witness in some way and they had to back out but IIRC the letter of the law was against Tripp and would be against O’Keefe. O’Keefe may have a 1st amendment Freedom of the Press defense card which Tripp lacked, but if I were him I’d be tracking down conservative legal support institutions.
I believe Linda Tripp recorded phone calls. Which would come under wiretap laws. As far as I know, none of Acorns phones were tapped, and their rooms were not bugged. Only recorded on the journalists cameras.
Judge Napolitano said the law only applied to phone conversations. I don’t know about video. When googling I saw another reference to a situation and it seemed like it was okay because there was no audio.
So maybe the audio is the problem in Maryland.
All “liberalism” is about revenge.
All of it.
One DU`ers take on it.
“If it wasn’t for Faux news, this never would have been reported.
Just one more reason why they need to be shut down.”
They really need to drop this before they look like total morons. This is a prime example of a frivolous law suit. Will it save face? No! Will it prove anything? No. Will it diprove anything ? No. Is it an effort to intimidate the public? Yes. In every good Dictatorship, the people must know their place.
Thanks for the correction. I do recall that the general notion that if someone is unaware that they’re being recorded is what is against Maryland law. That’s why the convenience stores post notices at the door that actions are being recorded by video and audio tape.
Excellent! Make residents ashamed of their state. Hammer it as a haven for child prostitution rings. Perhaps some Democrats who want to turn a blind eye for political reasons won’t be so apt to do so when their state is denigrated in such a manner.
they filmed in a public place - paid for by our taxes - this is not illegal
Maryland is mary land indeed. Bastard liberals are destroying and slandering good Americans with their political bastart communist politicians supporting them.
Maryland is one of only eleven states where you may not video or audio record a conversation absent the permission of the people involved.
That being said, where can I donate to the legal defense fund?
“I were him Id be tracking down conservative legal support institutions.”
Yup. I have a hunch he will need them. And ACORN has almost unlimited funds to use for attorney fees. If O`Keefe has more videos, I`m wondering if the authorities can prevent him from releasing them.
This law is the reason your broker and financial advisor now tell you that your phone call with them is recorded. I used to be an in-house lawyer for a brokerage firm in the 90’s.
They have always recorded phone calls to clients in case someone states that they did not request a trade that went bad. But, in Maryland and ten other states, trial lawyers convinced the states to pass the law requiring permission or knowledge of both parties to record a conversation. The other 39 states told them p*ss up a rope.
Throwing whistleblowers in jail????
If they start pulling crap like this, it WILL get violent!
And CWII here we come.
Which is believable!
No possibility whatsoever of any personal agenda involved.
Maryland Statutes, I think no way they can be charged. http://law.justia.com/maryland/codes/gcj/10-402.html
Yeah... justlike the black panthers were victims of voter intimidation tactics.....
ACORN Watch: The Baltimore City States Attorneys Office warped priorities
By Michelle Malkin September 11, 2009 11:10 PM The Baltimore City States Attorneys Office issued a statement tonight indicating that it may prosecute the Big Government undercover team that conducted one of its ACORN/prostitution stings in Bmore.
Yes, really.
The young reporters could face up to five years in jail for violating Marylands wiretap laws.
Reader John Muraro notes that the Baltimore City States Attorneys Office was responsible for handling the Zachary Sowers murder case, which I blogged about last year. He was pummeled into a coma by a gang of teenage thugs and later died of his massive injuries. Three of the four remorseless attackers were allowed to plea bargain down to eight years each in jail.
John sums up the warped priorities:
So:
· undercover investigation by the conservative reporter = reporters may serve 5 years in jail
· the animalistic beating of a young man by 4 thugs, resulting in 9 months of suffering and his death = plea bargained to 8 years in jail
Thats a rather peculiar sense of justice.
Yes, yes it is.
Baltimore City States Attorney Patricia Jessamy can be reached at mail@stattorney.org or (410) 396-4001.
“oral” covers it ~ just like with Monica.
that’s what i was wondering: don’t whistleblowers get
special protections?
This is what democrats do. They tried to do this to Linda Tripp.
This is why anyone that votes for any democrat at any time for any position (including dog catcher) should be prosecuted for treason.
Lest anyone forget, Maryland is where Nancy D'Alesandro Pelosi grew up and got her start in politics bribery and corruption at the knee of her father, Tommie D'Alesandro, the Mayor of Baltimore.
Made Louisiana look legit.
