Bob McDonnell, the normally-disciplined Republican candidate for governor in Virginia, mistakenly blurted out the F-bomb during a live radio interview on Friday.
Appearing on Washington-area radio station WTOP, McDonnell was sparring with host Mark Plotkin on the topic of transportation funding.

Better to say f*** than to constantly do it to the taxpayer.
I find this hard to believe, so I’ll have to hear it to believe it.
What next, Sky is blue, grass is green?
OMG, it’s OVER!/s
“...bang! bang! bang!...” - A CNN bobblehead.
It really sounds like a slip in that context, where he was trying to say funding and the wrong word came out first. And I agree 100% with the second poster on this thread!
I find it harder to believe, knowing it came from Ben Tribbett.
Isn’t that just part of the regular dem vocabulary? If you doubt this, just drop by DU and read a few posts.
I’ve only said it a couple times today.
I agree, the context just doesn’t flow to inject that word there.
So CNN is listening to the radio for stories, while collge girls are going undercover breaking HUGE stories?
Must be proud of yourselves, CNN/s
Um... liberals are always potty mouths. But they’d never think of reporting it
Any wonder why their ratings are in the toilet?
I question whether this even happened and it should be easy enough to verify. It’s just a good reminder that the commie media is ready to play “gotcha” every chance they get.
Pimps and hookers have taken over taxpayer’s funded housing and CNN acts as though this one word has just destroyed America.
Its painfuuly obvious they are desperately desperate. :)
Sometimes, it’s the only word that works.
If the F-bomb is the worst they can find, then that is really, really pathetic.
Does that mean he is not the fanatical Christian bigot he is made out to be? At least it wasn’t macaca, whatever that means?
McDonnell answered: “I’m going to find other ways to be able to fund transportation. I’ve outlined twleve fing funding mechanisms that are creative, that are entrepreneurial.”
Yeah, until I hear the audio, he probably just tried to say funding, the F-bomb doesn’t even make sense there.
I’m sure they’ll eventually get around to reporting the ACORN fraud tapes...maybe we can remind them; anyone got an e-mail???
Lets say he even SAID it at all. It’s rude, sure,,, but it’s an english word that is *centuries* old. And it’s use pales in comparison to what the Democrat socialist party is doing to this nation.
And remember, this week, CNN could barely care about the ACORN underage brothel. They just worried whether the taping of the conspiracy was legal.
There’s CNN and then there’s Ed Schultz, who himself is a four-letter word that nobody watches.
Most radio stations these days have an 8-second delay, so I find it hard to beleive even a seasoned politician would even utter such a word, let alone it going out over the airwaves.
Wow, a dude said a naughty word. Deeds is p#ssy.
That’s probably because the interviewer was a real Clymer - major league...
Don’t you know Republicans, by law, can never say bad words, cheat on their wives, steal, lie, sleep in on Sunday mornings and be mean to their mommies and daddies? Oh, and they can never say kind words about another if, at any time, that other person had ever done any of the above!
That’s just the world we live in today. What’re ya gonna do?
WTOP don’t even have it in their audio archives. They seem to have everything else.
Better he than Wilson.
I seem to remember a certain DEMOCRAT senator running for office IN 04 who used this word too...
JOHN F-ING KERRY!
And the day after he used it, I read one of the FUNNIEST FR threads I’ve EVER read!
What a clymer.
Just posted on CNN comments:
Love it!!! Remember this famous quote Gimme a f*&$#ing break.
That what Vice Pres. Biden at the Union Station March 13 2009
So libs, don’t go getting your britches all bunched up and try and get all holy on this one because you can not cry foul on something you have done.. You know “He who is without sin case the first stone”.
Go Bob, you have my vote.
Could be! During the Vietnam war, I worked in military personnel at Ft. Rucker, AL. We were understaffed and overworked in those days of the 65/66 buildup and had typewriters (original and 6 carbons). In a hurry, I typed in Ft Rucker with an F substitute for the R and didn't catch it until I saw the NCOIC laughing.
LOL! I kept telling them I was going to make a mistake if I didn't get some help.
vaudine
My thought exactly!
the same CNN that screamed about a terrorist attack on the Potomac River on 9/11 ??????
Radio shows are taped delayed so who heard what and how ?
These “news” people are acting more and more like children every day. Ohhhh, he said a “bad word”, I’m gonna tell!

LOL. CNN is a bunch of little wimps. When they start getting hammered for running such a pathetic piece they close off the comments.
Good for him.
He let a little testosterone slip. This certainly couldn’t hurt the well-mannered girly-men in today’s GOP.
We got a “You Lie!” and and F bomb in the same week.
There may be hope for us yet.
“I have outlined 12 f***** funding . . .”
That is the oddest use of the f-bomb I have ever read. I wonder if he was hoping to cause a stir?
They definitely have no standards for Democrats, except to not deviate from leftism.
Who was, coincidentally, the same blogger who launched “Macaca”.
I notice CNN didn’t provide a link to the audio.
Why don’t the Republicans in Congress stand up more for themselves? I get so mad watching them act like scared little girls whenever a Lib says “boo!”. Don’t they know they will gain a whole lot more respect if they stand up to the ridiculous hypocrites?
Interesting that this supposedly happened on WTOP, but WTOP doesn’t say anything about this story.
NO. CNN did not hear this. The story says that they got this story from a BLOGGER, “NotLarrySabato”, which is Glenn Tribbett, the blogger that was given the job of making Macaca go viral in 2006.
Ben is good at what he does, which is meaningless political attacks.
