It will be interesting to see what Wilson has to say on FNS.

Per one thread, he got over $1 million in donations — since he yelled his ‘two words heard around the world.’

Morning AB, everybody, wonderful day after the ultimate gathering DC has ever seen.

I salute all those who made it there especially our Freepers. Those like me who were there in spirit should try and get there next time.

Joe Wilson and Newt should be interesting the rest is predictably light/DBM picks.

C-Spam has an opening segment on it and had some coverage probably more than the rest. Poor Steve Scully earlier this morning didn't even know who the leaders were.

I e-mailed him and told him that Glen Beck was our spiritual leader and Sarah Palin could be our next candidate, count them as "some" of the leadership.

Every event like this one has its images, some more memorable than others.

The ones that really got me besides the Joker images in all forms were the acorn headquarters--a porta poddy, just so good you want to laugh for hours, the obamacare black ambulance which was really soooo good, my fav. and my vote for top honors the young gal dressed in revolutionary war dress carrying a sign that said party like its 1773.

This young gal was protesting the fact that her generation will have to start with such a huge tax burden created by the dem/rats that they will be forever haunted by taxes in every form pulling down their abilities to enjoy the American life style that so many have enjoyed. She gets my vote.

Last night on the live thread too many were overexercised about how many showed up. I really didn't care. It was enough to more than get our point across and let the rats know they can't get away with anything anymore without hearing from us.

Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary, will be on CNN’s State of the Union.

He actually said on Friday that the White House was unaware of the 9/12 rally.

I hope everyone is aware of just what a bald-faced lie this is, and what a complete liar Gibbs is.

This administration; Obama, and especially his chief spokesman, Gibbs, have absolutely no compunction about lying to the American people.

Remember this when they say ANYTHING. As was said Wednesday night: “YOU LIE!”

Are you ready for some football?????

The NFL season starts later and later.

Their first official game used to be about a week before Labor Day. Then, it was during the Labor Day weekend. This year, it is near mid-September.

If this keeps up, the Superbowl will eventually be during Memeorial Week.

Great picture.
Today's talking heads need to be measured in their accuracy as to the count from yesterday.

"2,000,000 March on Washington"

"Up to two million march to US Capitol to protest against Obama's spending in 'tea-party' demos"

...NO mention of the DC march yesterday on the WAPO online edition.

Isn’t that newspaper like, IN Washington DC?

It must suck to be a reporter for that paper, what with having to ignore all the big stories.

Heh.

RE: yesterday

I read one post from an attendee yesterday. Poster was in one of the first few to be approaching the WH area. Poster said their relatively small group was stopped by a policeman who got a tad ‘stern’ about them marching toward the WH.

Poster said, the policeman changed his attitude and got real nice to them, when he looked down the street behind them and saw the throng of thousands rapidly approaching.

lol

No mention of the march on the front page of the New York Times website either. You have to do some digging to find it. Had it been an Obama rally it would be plastered on every front page in the country.

Good Morning, AB!

A search of Florida Sunday print newspapers reveals a variety of coverage for yesterday's spectacular D.C. Tea Party. Several ignore the subject completely. Naples Daily News, El Nuevo Herald, and Pensacola News Journal feature color photos of the D.C. event on their front pages. Stuart News and Vero Beach Press-Journal provide color photos of local tea party event. The Charlotte Sun and Bradenton Herald front pages give big coverage to Obama's zillionth campaign speech on health care.

So a half million people, give or take, almost all of whom oppose the President, show up in the nation's capital, and the executive branch had no idea they were coming!?! What does that say about national security?

I'll bet the Sunday morning shows stress how the protests were against dems and Republicans. I used to be a dem - and the saying was, "If you see a parade, jump in front of it and say you're the leader...". They will NOT let this stand as a conservative movement - which is what it is - they'll "everyone does it" up...

And the ACORN stuff? Very little or nothing will be said outside of FOX. Dem corruption isn't something liberals want to talk about...

You know Gibbs probably thinks comments like that are cute; and a way to poke a stick in the right-wing’s eye, but it is still a lie.

Of all things, the White House spokesman should have is credibility. Remember Tony Snow! Even Bug-eyed Joe Lockhart didn't fib this much. It's as demeaning to the office of the president and especially to the American people.

It's so typical of this administration to demean their political opponents. Then, of course, they'll try to turn it around as the other side (us) as demeaining them! The press, of course, eats it up and reports it with all the relish they can muster.

But they ain't, as Reagan used to say, seen nothing yet!

Come November of 2010! As they keep demeanining, lying, misrepresenting and belittling, more and more REAL Americans, I believe, are getting OUTRAGED at these tactics.

I am perfectly serious. Along with their super serious erosion in credibility going on lately, I predict these newspapers/media outlets are going to have a serious problem with getting reporters.

Now I understand most reporters/”journalists” are liberal and support liberal causes. Still they all really do have the urge to “dig” up a story, to get a “scoop”. Can you imagine being a bright energetic young fellow, just getting out of journalism school, ready to change the world...and being told to avoid the DC march going on right outside your door and go over to cover the Obamer flackie giving a news conference on putting air in yer tires? Even if the liberal in the fellow would impel him to find a negative story in that crowd, you know, the one kook who thinks maybe Obamer arranged 9-11....the guy has to walk by what is obviously news. Folks, this hasta suck big time.

Sooner or later they’re not going to be able to find decent journalists to do this.

Everytime they ignore a big story like this they lose a big chink in their credibility.

They’re coming undone.

Happy Sunday, FRiends! Thanks to all of you who represented us in D.C. yesterday...bravissimi!!!

The NY Post's report today:

An army of seething protesters took to the streets of Washington, DC, yesterday, slamming the president's health-care plan and ranting against runaway government spending in the largest demonstration since Obama took office.

The roiling crowd of tens of thousands, waving posters of Obama with Hitler's mustache or with makeup depicting the president as the villain The Joker from "Batman," began their protest near the White House on the National Mall on the cold, windy afternoon.

Brandishing signs that said, "ObamaCare makes me sick" and "I'm not your ATM," they marched to the base of the Capitol where they gathered and chanted "We own the dome!" the Washington Post reported.

They also screamed "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go!" referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. (cont.)

As the months wear on, more and more people will become disgusted, for a variety of reasons, most of which boil down to this:

Most people don't pay attention to government and politics until it affects them personally. As unemployment increases, it affects more people personally. As you or your neighbor lose homes, despite the "fixes" the democrats have proclaimed, it affects you personally.

When your nephew writes from Afghanistan that they are short of supplies and the ROE have been changed, you sort of take it personally.

Next spring, when that "tax cut" turns out to have only been an advance, and your normal $300-400 refund isn't there, it's very personal.

If the democrats had been smart, they would have done some early things which were either impersonal policy decisions (trade agreements, foreign policy that didn't involve the military) or personal decisions which would help people immediately (medical savings accounts, protability of health insurance, etc.)

Instead, they went for high profile big issues which affect every citizen. This was a HUGE mistake and one they will pay for in 2010 and 2012.

Republicans need to explain how their plans would help individuals. Bush used to do this with the tax cuts. He would always have people on stage and explain how much money they would get to keep.

We need to be doing the same thing with Cap and Trade and Health Care, showing what our plans would do and what their plans will do.

Obama video says the give and take on the health care is “only a means to an end.”

[Notice that Obama did NOT reveal what “end” he has in mind. From other statements at other times, we can assume that that “end” if an eventual full government take-over of health care. It may take a decade to get their, but the Leftists have been working for decades to get the control Congress and the White House they have now. They don’t mind working in small steps to attain their greater goal.]
