Official: No Ukrainian adoption for Elton John

KIEV, Ukraine – Elton John will not be able to adopt a 14-month-old Ukrainian child because the pop star is too old and isn't traditionally married, Ukraine's minister for family affairs said Monday.

The pop signer toured a hospital for HIV-infected children in eastern Ukraine on Saturday as part of a charity project and said that he and his male partner David Furnish wanted to adopt an HIV-infected boy named Lev.

But the country's Family, Youth and Sports Minister Yuriy Pavlenko told The Associated Press that adoptive parents must be married and Ukraine does not recognize homosexual unions as marriage.

I can imagine the horror of that poor child would equal the torture of the one year old adopted by gay Frank Lombard of Duke University. He started sexual relations with the one year old boy, filmed it, put it on the internet for his gay friends, and invited them to come join in.

No amount of money can get that poor boy's innocence back and you think it's fine for another child to be exposed to that?

Don't even try to say that Lombard is an isolated incident and that will never happen with Elton John. Once they cross one societal barrier regarding sex, they have no problem with demolishing any of the other barriers. Homosexuals like them young. The younger the better in their minds. According to Duke U. Lombard, it's better when they can't talk yet and recruitment into the gay lifestyle is their intent.

Not sure if he has demonstrated criminality in the past as I've not read his history in detail.
My knowledge about him is limited to his popular tunes from the radio. I know he is a flamboyant gay guy.
It would be really nutty for a guy in his mid-sixties to rape a baby. He would also need to be one of those crazy "bug-chasers" given the whole HIV+ angle.

I'm sure horrific conditions are represented within those institutions that would exceed being raised by some weirdo like Elton John. Lots worse happens in this world.

Beyond that, he wants to adopt a HIV+ baby and I'm guessing there many people willing or able to do that.

Elton John has more than enough money to sponsor a real family to adopt the child. Sir Elton has enough money to build an entire new orphanage in the Ukraine. There are so many things, other than adopt, that he could do if he truly cared about the well being of the child. But the well being of the child is not his real goal is it?

Finding a spot for the HIV+ infants will be tough since they likely face a shortened and tough life ahead.

I can see your point. A liberal Quaker woman I used to work with brought up the arguement of “who is going to adopt all those children?” if the issue was abortion or gay adoptions. I never had a good answer for that. In my entire life, I’ve only known a handful of couples who’ve adopted children.
