As public outrage in some parts of the country against President Obama seems to grow louder by the week, some Democrats believe that his sharpest critics are driven by racism. At a fall gathering of the Democratic National Committee in Austin, several Democrats expressed dismay with the anger exploding mostly from white Americans, such as the tens of thousands who marched on the nation's capital Saturday. African-American lawmakers like Texas Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson say the tone of the president's critics increasingly suggests what is motivating their vitriol.
"It's hurting the spirit of this country," Johnson said, expressing worry about what outsiders might think of large portions of the country behaving as if the president of the United States were illegitimate. "As far as African-Americans are concerned, we think most of it is [racism]." Politico notes that Johnson had a "warm personal relationship" with George W. Bush and is known for her ability to set aside partisan differences.
At a "tea party" in Washington on Sept. 12, many conservative protesters made clear that their anger was with "big government" and not exclusively with Obama. Most said they had come to protest a government that has been encroaching on their freedoms long before Obama took office, though many mixed their political angst with strong personal animosity toward the president.

Nope. Rush was talking about this today. The ONLY reason they are talking up racism is because they are losing. The tea parties, and the protests are having a huge impact. They are on the defensive and have hauled out the racist page from the democRAT playbook.
Doesn’t matter what I post here, libs will call it “racist”....
I hope ObamaCare is defeated and I hope the phony concept of racism is driven from the countries lexicon. Of course, a lot of “civil rights” organizations use the boogeyman of “racism” to gain a lot of cash so it’s never going to completely go away.
1) "Muslims offended by ____________"
2) "Democrats see racism in _________________"
They seem to be doing their best to make racism a reality. You know, if every opposition, every failure to buy the Obama line is cast as racist, some will say: “Ok, I’m racist”.
While it seems to be a simple thing, it could lead to real racism, the kind Democrats seem to have perfected.
Hold up a white sheet of paper ...
The real racist sits in the oval office.
Democrats Sense Racism Is Driving Obama Critics
Conservatives KNOW Racism Is Driving This Administration
NO RATS It is what drives himm Clue: remember Rev Wright???
Conservatives sense that B***S*** is driving Obama supporters’ statements.
There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.
-Booker T. Washington
There, fixed it!
This is about time for this chickenlittle approach to collapse on itself.
I’ll remember this racism BS when the Dems oppose the next Republican president in 2012.
Now I know why the race pimps universally hate Booker T. Washington!
No, that's: Democrats Want To Believe Racism is Driving Obama Critics.
When the Democrats play the racism card, it's because they can't come up with any coherent defense of Obama.
Rather than refute a critic of Obama with facts or reason, it's much more convenient to simply accuse the critic of racism.
And the enabling State-Run Media just laps it up, with no questions.
