Glenn Beck explains The University of I Cant Remember says 2 million at ( tea party )
Jack Rite ^

Posted on 09/16/2009 7:26:21 AM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

His justification for two million goes a little something like this; "We had a university, I think it's a university , of - I don't remember which university it is. Look at the pictures and you know they can do body space, looked at it, did the body counts and came up with 1.7 million." Astounding! We must locate the mystery university...of something, somewhere. Of course he wasn't the only one to exaggerate a million or more. Michelle Malkin quoted two on ABC, because she says so - that's why. Limbaugh quoted a British tabloid as a source for his two million, sadly for him they didn't print it! Lou Dobbs assured radio listeners it was over a million, and Matt Kibbe organizer of Freedom works recanted!

Yes, I was sightseeing in DC that day - driving my car freelyl ALL OVER the District - and I didn’t see one soul! This is all a fabrication - we didn’t go to the Moon either and there sure as hell was NO ONE in DC that day. It’s even documented that Osama was out of town and Michelle and her mom were hiding in the WH. All I saw were the security ppl at the WH. No foot tourism. How did such a FRAUD get perpetrated on the American public? That’s why ABC< CBS, MSNBC didn’t mention it on TV - do you think they want to ruin their credibility? I, for one, will never watch FOX NEWS again - they have proven now they are liars. Let’s tea party them!

"They should look at the USA Today aerial photos of Ohstupid’s inauguration and crowd estimate and compare that to the Tea party protest."

Actually, one estimate that I've seen (and I think it was on a thread here at FR) did precisely that. They came up with a figure that was close to the 1.5 million quoted here.

I was there. There were NO buses and NO ppl. Obama was gone on AF 1. Someone is lying about 45,000 buses. I think someone forged the bus passes. I don’t know what is wrong with you conservative nut cases. I was the ONLY ONE in DC that day - not a car, not a person, not an insect nor animal. And besides that, it was pouring rain - the streets were flooded - all the traffic lights were out and I just kept driving through. I can prove I was there - all the flags were at full staff and the photos you show are at half staff. We had to go to Virginia to find a restaurant open. Because there was no foot traffic in DC, all the police were off duty. There was no one to help or watch. Boy, am I ever glad I’m not one of you hysterical extreme zealot racist conservatives!

Who does this matter to? I was just in a barber shop where nobody had heard of the march on Washington! They not only don't know about the march, they are too stupid to care. Without a media that will report the news in an unbiased manner, all of this is just preaching to the choir.

Yesterday we had a Mayoral and City Council Primary in this city (Charlotte, NC) of around 700,000 people. Now here was a chance to throw out the commies in power on the local level and send a clear signal to Washington. We had about a 1% voter turnout! I don't think that this bodes well for 2010.

permits for, 45,000 busses — do the math.

Can you verify that? I'd really like to see from where you got that number. That's a rock solid stat if true.

“I was the ONLY ONE in DC that day...”

And then your glasses fell and broke and you said “It’s not fair!” like in that Twilight Zone episode.

Hee hee!

If a busload averages 50 passengers, that’s 2.25 million. Sounds high to me. So call it 30 pax per bus; “only” 1.35 million.

Let’s get the real number of bus permits and calculate a real number.

Well, we are getting them one at a time in hopes that they will spread the word in the hood, but it is is a long field and a tired mule pulling.

Hi all! I’m new here so I’m not even sure if I am replying correctly. Anyway, I joined so I could post this.

The Real Number of protesters.

I’m not sure if this has been posted before or not. It is interesting to say the least and definitely worth the read.

It was announced at the rally that there were 4000 to 5000 issued bus permits. Honestly folks, 45,000 busses in downtown DC??? There would have been no room for us.

knock a couple of zeroes off that and you’d be right.

There were 10,000 permits issued for the inauguration. There is NO WAY there were 45,000 issued.

I heard from an independent source the numer was 450 permits. Someone has been adding zeroes.

BTW - official Metro ridership was up 100k for the day. Someone added zeroes to that as well before posting it.

“They should look at the USA Today aerial photos of Ohstupid’s inauguration and crowd estimate and compare that to the Tea party protest.
I guess this event and the election of 2000 really does emphasize how poor Democrats are at math.”

As are Republicans apparently. Some of the numbers I’ve seen bantered around are ridiculous.
