You have to file an I-9 for employment. I don't see much difference with that and your example. What if instead of a workplace demanding you prove your legality by providing documentation, you could say to them, "prove I'm not legal without me releasing any records".

The the copy of the birth certificate provided by Obama is an acceptable form of documentation under I-9, especially as the relevant officials of the issuing state have personally vouched for the accuracy of the copy. His SS card would also meet the requirements, as would his passport.

There have been numerous attempts to created a stronger form of identification (ex: a "National ID card") which have been strongly resisted by many on both the left and right.

And that would matter if the Constitution didn’t include the words “natural born”

“The the copy of the birth certificate provided by Obama is an acceptable form of documentation under I-9”
To be more precise a COLB is acceptable for I-9. Also acceptable for this case, as a Hawaii COLB affirms the place of birth.

What is not acceptable for I-9 or this case is a FORGED COLB. nor a statement from a Democrat-controlled employee of their department of health.
