She is forced to collect the moisture generated by her eyes in small bags located underneath and behind her eye sockets. On a side note, these bags are so located that they have made her unable to close her eyes, resulting in that perpetuual “crazy cat woman” or “deer in headlights” look.
In any event, she must purge these eye-drainage bags several times a day using a small sump pump located in the same portion of her skull where a normal person would have something called a “frontal lobe”.
The pumping device simply malfunctioned during the press conference and caused an unexpected purging of eye moisture, that’s all.
