Posters portraying President Obama as a witch doctor may be racist, organizers of Tea Party protests say, but they reflect anger about where he is leading the country.
The posters, showing Obama wearing a feather headdress and a bone through his nose, have recently popped up in e-mails, on Web sites and at Tea Party protests.
The image has stoked debate and cast attention on the rallies, which have drawn people Tea Party organizers describe as on the fringe and not representative of the overall movement. Their general viewpoint, leaders say, is that there's been too much federal government intervention, particularly concerning health care and taxes.
The witch doctor imagery is blatantly racist, critics contend.
Others remind that presidents get made fun off all the time, and the election of a black president has only made racially charged political satire more sensitive.

Satire.
And funny at that
Sooooo how’s that ACORN coverage coming, CNN?
Breathlessly awaiting you report...any time now.
I guess CNN really wants to declare all out Race War and destroy any sense of civility in our country.
Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang

Maybe we could call it “voodoo economics.”
Just the truth.
“The grand Kleagle says its racist, so its racist.”
Good job photo-shopping out Sen. Byrd.
He is seen here in native Kenyan garb in a rare shot recently discovered in a White House burn bag that somehow escaped the newly installed White House diesel powered, water-cooled Acme 3000 Super Shredder. It was sent to us by a former White House shredder tender (who wished to remain anonymous -- and hasn't been heard from for over 2 months!).

And if you are offended by this photo, TOO BAD! Obama is, after all, a disciple of Saul Alinsky who advised his friends in Obama's favorite book, "Rules for Radicals" (subtitled "Dirty Tricks by The Left are Just Good Politics"), that RIDICULE is a potent and effective weapon.
There ya' go!!
It cracked me up.
nuff said.
I should add though, of course I’m not a selectively sensitive hypocritical ninny.
It's just soooo widespread and all...

Since when did native dress become racial?
Since it isn't HIS native dress.
You’ve probably seen the San Francisco area protesters featured at Zombietime.com. If anyone is interested in vile and obscene directed at Christians, the right, and President Bush, it’s all catalogued there.
I see Obama as Attila, not a Witch Doctor. It takes brains to bamboozle the sheeple.
Some of the other images on this thread are pushing boundaries. Why rush into the trap that the race baiters have ... well, baited?
Wee wee, oh bah mah

Uh, it was a story by CNN, so I posted it. Besides, I frankly don’t give a flying crap what the commies think is racist. Never have, never will.
Is it Indonesian? Hawaian? He has so many choices.
I know his father’s home town in Kenya is still waiting for their bailout money.
I guess dressing up Bush as Hitler was OK.
Alvin?
Alvin?
ALVINNNNNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!
In the sign he’s a doctor. That’s complimentary, isn’t it?
Racist, probably not. Poor taste, yes.
I’d take any average witch doctor over the marxist as president.
Hey I don’t think the bastardo has the qualifications to be a witch doctor and witch doctors everywhere should be urined off.
They’d do far less harm.
Might even be pro-America
ROFLMAO!!! This is best picture I have seen of 0bozo!!!!
My first thought when I saw it was, “By the time 0bama gets rid of all the doctors because they quit, all we will have left are witch doctors.”
There’s an earworm I’ll never be rid of! LOL!
I love the witch doctor posters — saw one guy with two of them, huge posters, at the Los Angeles 9/12 tea party. He separated himself from the crowd and displayed his posters on other side of Wilshire — not sure why but I sure did love seeing them when I walked over there. Maybe he did not want to ‘get lost in the crowd.’
How are these worse than “W” seen as a chimp for 8 YEARS and other similar disrespectful pix and sayings? I say keep it coming — it’s going to be a real bumpy ride!
Both. On the one hand, it is brilliant satire, making the point that Americans would do about as well relying on a witch doctor as on government healthcare.
On the other hand you don’t need to be insane and hearing voices in your head like Dyson, Dowd and the other moonbats to see it as racist.
I’m not comfortable with it and think it is counterproductive to our cause.
Of course, even the most polite and well reasoned objections to Obamacare will be denounced as racist by much of the left and the media, anyway, but we should not give them any ammunition to level legitimate charges of racism.
OKAY!!
I suppose saying "voodoo" is racist, too, though.

Is this?
I’ve had a perpetual earworm problem.
Thing is, I didn’t know what to call it . . . until now.
So? It’s hardly news that the commies get a free pass. That doesn’t mean it makes sense to play into their hands.
You can consider it however you want.
You’ve made the point that I’ve been trying to make here.
You mean none of his ancestors in Africa were witch-doctors?
