Most guys have done something to impress a girl that they've ended up regretting -- and if they're lucky, it was just an ankle tattoo or purchasing a lifetime pass to the local philharmonic. Former FBI Agent Mark T. Rossini wasn't so lucky. He fell hard for a woman, and in his efforts to prove his devotion to her, he lost his job and his good name.
The Sordid Story
It was 2006. Rossini held a $140,000-a-year position in the FBI's Washington, D.C., headquarters. But the outgoing bachelor also enjoyed the nightlife of New York, and often visited the Big Apple.
One of those trips brought him to Elaine's, the famous Upper East Side celebrity haunt, and it was there that he met sultry actress Linda Fiorentino. They became a couple almost immediately, and were soon seen all over New York and D.C. together.
Complications Ensue
But there was another man in Fiorentino's life. Notorious tough guy P.I.-to-the-stars, Anthony Pellicano. Some accounts say Fiorentino had a "previous relationship" with Pellicano. Others call it an infatuation.
What is no longer in dispute is that when Pellicano's high-profile trial for illegal wiretapping began, Rossini started making illegal searches on the FBI's Automated Case Support System about the case and passing the information on to Fiorentino, who snuck it on to Pellicano's lawyer. In other words, Rossini was violating his oath of duty so he could help his girlfriend aid another guy with whom she was "infatuated."
He Did It for Love
Rossini was charged, and pleaded guilty to illegally accessing files. He received probation and lost his job. Fiorentino, who is no longer dating Rossini, was not charged.
We've seen "The Last Seduction." We know Linda Fiorentino is one sexy lady. But can anyone be that irresistible?

Now THAT is what I call a femme fatale! Her performance in “The Last Seduction” was too convincing to be merely acting.
Linda Fiorentino? In a heartbeat. You betcha
Thinking with the wrong head.
That was a long time ago.
TTIUWP
GUILTY!
Didn’t she turn into a booze hound?
Photographic evidence suggests that you are correct.
It would have be smarter just to get a different woman and turn the lights out. Darkness, the great equalizer.
Hang Her!
I was trying to place what movie really stuck out for me, and it was After Hours first, but she was hotter in Men in Black.
Ah. Sounds like they fell for each other on first sight. He offered to help her with another guy she still carried a torch for, did illegal things with his position, and got caught. She is hanging around with someone else, and he is screwed.
He is a guy, what can you say. I sure hope that ride was fun for him.
She was robbed of an Oscar for that one. She was much hotter in her small role in “After Hours”, though.
Then again, way back when, I was also guilty of letting my little head lead my big head.
There, I said it.
5.56mm
I say give her a medal. After Waco and TWA 800 and a host of other misdoings, all feebies should lose their jobs. If there is an honorable one among them, I don’t know about it.
Also looking every bit of her 51 years.
...seeing pattern here: those with ancestors who wore loud shirts while doing the chicken (dance) on streets in front of candy stores.
She used to be.
There is not a woman on this planet for whom I would destroy my life for. Especially not an old, washed up has been like this one. She was attractive when she played in Vision Quest. In Men in Black she was so-so. That’s been a very long time ago.
Vision Quest!!
She told him she was working on a film script about Pellicano.
Movie good...or was she just hot?
“Rossini held a $140,000-a-year position in the FBI’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.”
Darn! No wonder were broke... paying feds that type of cash!
Good Lord. Taken. How Embarrassing.
Some guys just get...carried away. And there they go.
Sentence him to hard labor.
No kidding. Remember Vision Quest? If it had been me, I’d have ripped the entire FBI mainframe out of the wall and delivered it to her by UHaul.
Not sure about now, but years ago they wanted agents to have either a law degree or a CPA. From that perspective, the pay fits.
I hear you. That's what led to my first marriage.
She doesn’t look that hot.
You’ve got to be kidding. She looks like a suburban housewife. I’ve got girlfriends who look hotter than that and most of them are in their forties and fifties. And for this the idiot wrecked his career? Feh. Men are stupid.

By "looking large," I meant just that. Rotund.

I've seen a lot worse at 51.
Good grief, that wouldn’t even be worth the price of a martini, much less a career.
Ineligible, actually. The Last Seduction was a straight-to-video production that landed on HBO where it earned critical acclaim. Thinking it might be an Oscar contender, the studio released it theatrically but the Academy said that since it was essentially a "made for TV" film, it wasn't eligible.
Great film. And she was outstanding in it.
Incidentally, Jessica Lange would be awarded Best Actress for Blue Sky in 1994. Nope. Never saw it.
Why are they paying cops 140k per year?
Soooo,, he thought he would get her bootie,,,,,, by helping her boyfriend out? He should have helped them lock him up. If he was in prison, that woulda been better for him!
No kidding. Remember Vision Quest? If it had been me, Id have ripped the entire FBI mainframe out of the wall and delivered it to her by UHaul.

No lie - any guy on this thread who says they wouldn’t do her if they had the chance is either lying bigger time than Obama or gay ...
Cheers!
Geez. How gullible did she think top FBI agents are?
n-n-n-nine coronas
My thought exactly!
I've been working on a project to detail the costs of Obama on AF1 and M1.
There are 800 Marines detailed to Marine One. The average cost is $117,XXX each (E-2:O-6 ) making just the cost of personnel for his ops almost $100MILLION a year, and includes no equipment costs. So far, I have an accumulated AF1 cost at around $26000+ PER MILE! In the last week alone, he has flown more than 3000 miles. I hope I'm wrong on my numbers, but pretty sure they're UNDERestimated. 3000 air miles @ 26k= $80 Million dollars (ASTOUNDING), and includes nothing on the ground, but does factor the extra aircraft, crews, etc. for his jaunts and vacations.
Jessica Lange was great as an unhinged wife of a 1960s Army officer Tommy Lee Jones in "Blue Sky", I will admit you could've also made an argument regarding her eligibility, because that film was not "new" when it was released, having been filmed three years and sat on the shelf because of the troubled Orion studios. If Fiorentino could be disqualified on a technicality, should not have Lange been for a 3-year old film competing against other actresses for films made that year ?
On IMDb, they have a long thread on "Blue Sky", questioning Lange's win, citing Fiorentino, and others that got stiffed out of a nomination, such as Sigourney Weaver in "Death and the Maiden", which may have been one of her most riveting performances opposite the always excellent Ben Kingsley (who also should've gotten a nod). Roman Polanski, who directed it, should've received a nod as well.
for a female that stirred my inner chili pepper to warp speed? Gadzooks! More than once, old sport...
many, many more times than I care to count or recall!
Yet I did manage...
to keep from breaking the law in a big-time way--
And, yes, I did find her...
hotter than a nova in 1985's Gotcha! However, I'd like to think of her as one I am pretty sure I'm glad got away!
Me, too, Bendy...
Me, too--
Actually, she looked better last night at last call...
than she does this morning.
If Linda were younger...
I'd hit it!
That’s the story I heard also.
