WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The first roll-out of vaccines against the new swine flu virus will be 3.4 million doses of MedImmune's needle-free nose spray, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday. The CDC's Dr Jay Butler said the vaccines would be distributed the first week of October. "Initially we anticipate that 3.4 million doses of vaccine will be available," Butler told a telephone briefing. "We estimate that the amount of vaccine that will be available will increase through October." He said eventually delivery would rise to about 20 million doses a week. The United States has ordered 195 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine from five companies -- MedImmune, a unit of AstraZeneca, Sanofi-Aventis, Australia's CSL, GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis.

"MedImmune's needle-free nose spray"
Somebody's making some dough off of this.
Does the spray come with a martial law order?
To: dangerdoc
The first vaccines are the hardest to get people to take. After that, why, people will just look more and more forward to the absolute joy of receiving that which makes everything - absolutely everything - seem so much better and under control, and clear and defined, and correct and obedient, and comfortably compliant, and instructive, and may I have my next vaccine now?

NO, snort first. Martial Law later, when we all get sick.

Just say No. Don’t do it, either via nose or needle.
This is not an extraordinary flu strain, just the usual, according to several medical and scientific sources.

Especially scary is how they want to reduce population size in order to save the planet.
Wouldn't surprise me if "something goes wrong" with the vaccine, causing deaths.
Martial Law for 0 would just be his icing on the cake.

You aren’t concerned that they haven’t released the ingredient list? For example I can’t have MSG, and that is in some brands of flu shots. It is important to know what they want to inject/spray into us.

I get the flu shot every year. The main risk is one GBS case per million doses. Compared with 34,000 deaths and 200,000 hospitalizations per year from flu, the risk is acceptable.
You can't have MSG? That's not just the flu shot; that's a LOT of different foods as well. How much MSG sets it off?
The H1N1 vaccine is being tested now, and it is being made in the same manner as the standard shot. Had it appeared several months earlier, it would have just been another component of the standard shot. If you've had the regular flu shot before, the H1N1 should be about the same for you.

People still have a choice as to whether they take vaccines or not. Do you want the flu vaccination to be mandatory and forced? That’s scary.
I have never taken a flu shot in my life and don’t plan to. I like having the freedom to make the choice.
To: mysterio
I am very pro-vaccine but will not be taking this one until a few million others have tried it first and we have seen some of the results.
To: mysterio
Yes, for me it causes heart a-fib. It has to be in high doses, like Chinese food and broths/stocks from the grocery store. However, the MSG would be put directly into my bloodstream with a shot. I’m not willing to take that chance. I’m getting over the flu now. I’ve had it for 24 hours and I’ve successfully fought it off with probiotics and hydrogen peroxide laced nasal rinses.

That's reasonable. However, the only difference between this vaccine and the regular one is the strain of dead virus. Or attenuated virus in the case of the inhaled version.

We used to quarantine people with communicable diseases -- you simply do not have a right to infect and possibly kill other people. Typhoid Mary went to jail, as she should have.

Probiotics. They are expensive but very worth the price. I take them daily and then increase the amount when I start feeling poorly. This is the first time in two years that I have been sick. I swear by probiotics.

I’m getting the regular flu shot this year, like I do every year. But, I am not on board with the H1N1 vacine - not taking it.
Don’t trust the government, feel it has been rushed, and there is not a pressing need for me to avoid H1N1.

Vitamin D3, garlic, 2 grams of vitamin C, and echinacea, every day. And have plenty of Benadryl on hand to fight hypercytokinemia.

my personal experience, 3 flu shots in the Air Force and I never have been sicker in my life.
If, which is rare I get anything I burn a fever for 12 hours, sleep through it and its gone.

No. It's your decision to get the shot or not get the shot.
If that person tries to convince other people not to get the vaccine using misinformation, however, they are one step closer to being labeled a woo-woo.

Are you allergic to eggs? Were the three shots given over the course of three flu seasons? Detail the symptoms and the course of the illness(es) that you experienced after the flu shot.

No allergy to eggs, 3 flu seasons and told to get in line and get a shot.
I have no idea what was really in the vile, I just know it knocked me off flight status, sick as a dog for a week ( '89, 90 91 ) and as a kid never sick ( as in flu ) or since never sick, rarely I get a high fever burn it off over night and go on.
So you can see my aversion to the shot.

I’ve taken about 24 consecutive flu shots. A little muscle soreness but otherwise fine.
That being said, I recieved vaccinations in the service that knocked me on my butt. Are you sure you weren’t getting cholera, yellow fever, dengue or other vaccine? I have had chills and sweats for days after some of those shots.
The military will often give you the entire slated list of vaccines when they have a group corraled.

My grandmother always called my dad and myself carriers, we to this day get sick, burn it off with high fever and move on. The only time I ever got layed up in bed besides knee surgery was after those shots.
