Watchdog hits Rangel

WASHINGTON -- A government-watchdog group filed a formal complaint yesterday with the House Ethics Committee to investigate the puzzling array of questions surrounding Rep. Charlie Rangel's ownership of a Harlem brownstone.

In addition to his failure to report proceeds from the 2004 sale of 74 W. 132nd St., Rangel also failed to report rental income, The Post reported last month.

"To the degree Rep. Rangel underreported rental income year after year on his financial-disclosure statements from his investment property, serious questions arise as to whether he also failed to report such income on his city, state and federal income-tax returns," Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, wrote to the Ethics Committee.

The committee already is investigating Rangel.

Among the problems with Rangel's disclosure forms is that in 2002 he reported that the property was valued at as much as $500,000 but now claims it was worth only as much as $100,000.

This will be dismissed like every other Democrat crook (redundant?).

Remember that Tom Daschle had that sweetheart sale of the ocean front property/home and did not pay the proper taxes nor list it on his disclosure forms. He never paid the taxes and was never properly investigated nor punished for the non-disclosure.

If you are a Dim you can do anything, up to and including murder, without repercussions.

Thank goodness, it was a cinch that congress wasn’t going to do anything about it but gosh, the needed to censure Rep. Joe Wilson because he pointed out the truth when he said, “You lie”.

A few years ago Charlie wrote a book And I Haven't Had a Bad Day Since.

I wonder if he has revised that yet.

At least it wasn’t Judicial Watch.

Now, maybe there’s a chance this clown will have justice.
