1st question.
Mr President, you have stated that you do not believe the opposition to you is based on race. Do you not think, as President of all Americans, you have an obligation to publicly rebuke those in your own party who are pushing these fraudulent accusations of racism?

the presidents message was still muddled
He has given about 29 major speeches on health care insurance reform, and he still can't give a clear, concise message -- even with a teleprompter and a staff of advisers and speech writers.

CNN explaining how they were called by the WH for this interview. Explaining all the rules under which they had to abide to interview the President. They didn’t say they were limited to a set of questions, that they had to provide in advance of the interview. It wouldn’t surprise me if indeed the President mandated that as well.
Five Sunday show appearances, and I would bet we learn NOTHING new, and I would bet the same questions were asked by each individual who interviewed him.
The WH apparently is claiming that Fox didn’t get an interview because they didn’t carry him joint session speech. What a baby — Wallace is correct. If the dear Leader can’t get everyone to bow and cowtow to him, he will shun them. Could you imagine if Bush had done that, he would never have appeared on any network.

Maybe Glen Beck is having significant influence 'within'.
He did more real investigative journalism during his short tenure with FoxNews than most journalists from all of the other news bureaus combined.
When someone as prominent as Charlie Gibson, ABC Nightly News anchor, says he knew nothing about thousands upon thousands marching on Washington, he is ignorant or lying.
Most news bureaus and most of their members have become PR representatives, rather than journalists. Beck is correct -- they have become the fringe media. Maybe some will be embarrassed enough to try to be real journalists.

The WH apparently is claiming that Fox didnt get an interview because they didnt carry him joint session speech.
Except that FoxNews did carry them. It was the FOX channel that didn't.
That would be about as silly as penalizing NBC Universal because the speech wasn't covered on SyFy.
It is a convenient excuse.

Actually I am thankful that Chris ( I have been no fan of his to be honest) let the secret out of the bag, that he has been getting calls from Obama's people complaining about his guests and interviews.
It is a lot easier to figure out why all the other networks have been kissing @ss.

The question which will never be asked:
"Mr. pRES_ _ENT, after Gov. Paterson reasonably ordered a review of ACORN,
you then demanded he drop his campaign for Governor.
Are you racist, against blind people, or just covering up another crime?"
STIMULUS:
N.Y. Governor Orders Review of ACORN Contracts
New York Gov. David Paterson ordered state agencies Friday to put a 30-day hold on
contracts with the community organizing group ACORN and its affiliate, New York Agency for Community Affairs.
In a memo, the Budget Division cited Paterson's "continued efforts to ensure fiscal
accountability and integrity," directing the agencies to report "any potential issues."
In Washington, the House and Senate separately voted this week to deny all federal funds
for ACORN in a GOP-led strike against the liberal-leaning group, which was accused last year of submitting some false voter registration forms in a massive voter-registration drive.
RESPONSE:
NY Times: Obama wants Paterson to drop campaign for NY governor
The Times, citing sources, said Obama is concerned that "Mr. Paterson cannot recover from his dismal political standing."
According to the Times report, the decision to ask Paterson to step aside was proposed by political advisors to Obama,
but approved by the president himself .
Obama Gives Up On Paterson
Has Obama asked beleaguered and unpopular NY Governor David Paterson to drop out of the race to keep his seat?
That's what the New York Times is reporting. If true, this is fairly extraordinary. It's
highly unusual for a president to step in and tell a governor who is not facing something
like a crippling scandal or imminent indictment that his time is up. And when it's the first
black president telling one of only two black governors to clear the way for someone
else...that definitely falls into the category of Stories You Never Expected To Read.

I know Tom, it is just laughable what a bunch of babies there are in the WH. Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Truth be known: Obama is afraid of Fox News. He knows the others will work with him to create the message Obama wants delivered — he also knows that Fox will NOT play that game. It’s his way or the highway, which is why the lack of respect for the MSM (fringe media thanks Beck) has.
The news anchor of ABC doesn’t have a clue about current events; Wolf Blitzer zapped on Jeapordy; Brian Williams bows to the President of the US. I wouldn’t believe a word I heard from anyone of them. They are lapdogs for Obama. I won’t watch any of the interviews, but will watch Fox and Reliable Sources.

I wont watch any of the interviews, but will watch Fox and Reliable Sources. Excellent plan, Laverne. I shall adopt it. I will not watch him on any of these scripted "interviews." He will continue to lie about "his plan." I've had quite enough of that.
I saw a brief clip of one of them. He essentially calls some number of Americans racists. I loath him for that and always will.

I think we could have expected Huck and maybe Palin to be tops with this group—and Palin is the only one of the five vote leaders not to have shown there.
Pawlenty probably only made the second tier on the strength of his speech—but I expect him to keep coming on strong, as he fits that successful profile of the relatively unknown, smooth, young governor from a small state.
This wasn’t, and wasn’t expected to be, Romney’s crowd at all. If Pawlenty does become more of a factor, I expect him to take votes from Huck and Palin. I actually think this poll could be Huck’s high-water mark for 2012, and by the full primary season it could be down to Mitt, Pawlenty and Palin.
To: Alas Babylon!
I wonder if anyone is going to bother to ask Obama about his support of repealing DOMA?
"The introduction of the Respect for Marriage Act responds directly to a call from President Obama for congressional action on the issue. As the president recently confirmed: 'I stand by my long-standing commitment to work with Congress to repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. It's discriminatory, it interferes with states' rights, and it's time we overturned it," the statement said.
