On August 25th 2009, Big Hollywood’s Patrick Courrielche broke the story of a conference call he attended with other “rising artist and art community luminaries”:

On Thursday August 6th, I was invited by the National Endowment for the Arts to attend a conference call scheduled for Monday August 10th hosted by the NEA, the White House Office of Public Engagement, and United We Serve. The call would include “a group of artists, producers, promoters, organizers, influencers, marketers, taste-makers, leaders or just plain cool people to join together and work together to promote a more civically engaged America and celebrate how the arts can be used for a positive change!”

>> taste-makers

WTF is a taste maker? And why would I even want influence from one, let alone be paying his/her/its bill?

(I threw in “its” because I figure they’re mostly queer.)

I dunno, might want to ask that of Patrick Courrielche. Maybe he has a personal experience he would like to share with everyone?

DEFUND ALL OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS! Let them raise funds on their own if donors think it is worthy of handing over their hard earned money!

UNWILLING taxpayers should NOT be FORCED to fund this crap!

“WTF is a taste maker? And why would I even want influence from one”

That would be anyone of the Obama administration officials or the Democrat/socialst party that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. BTW they don’t care what we want./sarc

Whatever a taste maker might be... it looks like A. Breitbart is going to unveil something tasty!

Should be good.

Wow! Is Breitbart on a huge roll or what? I’m liking this whole conservative investigation thingy!

I’m thinking that the reason that Breitbart along with Beck are on such a hot streak is tied to the huge levels of corruption that are now beginning to come to light. The scope of this corruption that is tied to 0bama is making for scandals to be broken on a continual basis.

I think of Bretbart and the corruption in the White House like a little Chicago-Style thugary meets rectal inspection with a dingle-berry hone.

I’m thinking the corruption is so deep and widespread in the 0bambi administration that investigating it is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I love the way Breitbart lets these things out piecemeal b/c: 1. it allows the story to build each day as we await the next “installment”; 2. it prevents the opp from coming up with a coherent cover-story b/c they don’t know what Breitbart has on them; and 3. the slow bleed forces the opp to deal with the story over several news cycles and prevents them from getting out the message they want.

Defund the NEA ...

Yep. I second the motion.

If kids have to have bake sales to afford band instruments, etc., let those fat-cats do some fund-raising on their own. Find patrons and angels if they can.

Otherwise, admit their art is a hobby that probably should not leave Mom and Dad’s basement.

(rant over)

He knows how the media works and thinks, and he’s been brilliant! I’m so glad James and Hannah let him manage the tapes they got.
