Walter Reed Freep 231 - Sept 18, 2009 - Glued in Place or Mobile?
September 21, 2009 | Tom the Redhunter

Posted on 09/21/2009 5:05:39 AM PDT by Tom the Redhunter

A beautiful evening in Washington DC brought out 14 faithful FReepers to our weekly vigil outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center. It was not quite the 500-800 that we had last week on 9-11-09, but quite enough to let the troops know that our support never waivers. A huge THANK YOU again to everyone who was able to come last week.

Here is Mr Trooprally setting up station in front of the main entrance

Caddy corner from him was Lurker Bill,

Having observed this operation for almost 5 years it's interesting how it all works. Some FReepers, like me, are all over the place every evening. We wander from corner to corner checking things out and talking to people. Others, like Mr Trooprally and Lurker Bill, stay glued to one location all night. They let others come to them, whereas I'm of the sort who gets itchy if I stand in one place for too long

Which type of FReeper are you when you go to a rally? Are you the type who stays in one location or are you mobile?

Here's a relatively new FReeper, alwaysfree, alongside Fraxinus. Thank you, alwaysfree, new blood is always needed!

Danang 68 and tacomama were back in town and able to FReep with us. They're long time FReepers who hope to be back this winter. Warm weather FReeping is easy, but those cold winter nights can really get to be something when it's pusing 10pm and you're still out there waiting for the bus! Here's tacomama

The MOAB is a bit more lonely than it was last week but looks very pretty at night

Yes, the Pinkos were down the street as always, but they're a sad bunch and who needs to see a photo of them to ruin their day?

What it's all about - the troops

Here are the buses that the faithful FReepers have been waiting for. They're full of troops and their families who have been out to dinner in Washington DC

Come join us every Friday night between the hours of 6:30pm to approx 9:30pm.

Directions to our Walter Reed freep location from the Takoma Metro station

* You can find all of Mrs Trooprally's photos for this Freep on her Photobucket site.

* Thank you to BufordP for maintaining the BIG LIST of all Walter Reed FReeps.

* Thank you to all FReepers who transport and store our many signs and banners every week.

This week was also 3DJoy's last week at Walter Reed till next summer. THANKS 3D for spending your summers with us at Walter Reed, and Olney. Have a safe trip home.

Also in attendance: BufordP; Cindy_True_Supporter, Jimmy Valentines Brother, NewEnglandPatriotFan, RongKirby, Sensei Ern, and Yep TTR, you are correct in saying:

"Yes, the Pinkos were down the street as always, but they're a sad bunch and who needs to see a photo of them to ruin their day?" Seeing themselves really perturbs even them. I remember a moonbat post about last week's 9-11 WR FReep. They tried to show us in various distorted faces as we cheered the troops. But when the picture of their wee wee'd numbers was shown, the moonbats complained about their little numbers. TTR - Thanks for the prompt AAR. Nice work. [Mr] T

Great Job you guys, as always ! I enjoyed being at WR on many accasions since March of 2007, so it was amazing and awesome to see that many people show up on 9/11. Kudos to the DC Chapter !!!!

Actually, alwaysfree is a longtime FReeper and has been to many WR freeps in the past. Back from a long hiatus.
