When the list of donors to the Van Jones “Green for All” organization is examined, one name stands out — the Open Society Institute of billionaire George Soros. The Green for All 2008 annual report is also notable for the pictures of the powerful people who associated with Jones, a known communist. They include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Vice President Al Gore.

While the Open Society Institute was supporting Green for All in 2008, when Jones was running it, the Soros-funded organization was also financially underwriting the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights when Jones was in charge of that group. The Open Society Institute gave the Ella Baker Center $151,800 in 2006 and $140,000 in 2007. Jones ran this group during the years 1996-2007. He then emerged as a senior fellow at the Soros-funded Center for American Progress. Other funders of the Green for All group included Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, the Rockefeller family, Men’s Warehouse, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the New World Foundation, the Schwab Charitable Fund, the Streisand Foundation, the Service Employees International Union, and the Tides Center and Foundation.

I think that whatever else he may be, however, Soros is also a consummate capitalist: he knows the processes of capitalism extremely well, and he knows precisely when, where, and how to warp capitalism to suit his own ends.

I think the underlying difficulty when we discuss capitalism, is an often unspoken assumption that "being a capitalist" somehow implies that one is also morally upright.

The problem is that capitalistic success breeds power, with all its lures and temptations for wrong-doing.

And, often-times, capitalistic success itself comes most easily to those who carefully maintain an arms-length relationship with good behavior.

Marxist revolutionaries, like Van Jones, are all about creating chaos to destroy the capitalist system. Soros derives his money (and power) where there is chaos, so Soros is more than happy to support any chaos that Van Jones might create.

Nazi=national socialist=communism. He is plundering the capitalist system, using anti-freedom forces, criminal elements and greedy people on both sides of the isle to implement a version of world communism.

It has just taken much longer here than expected. In the mean time, people are getting rich betting on the fall of America.

Some rich philanthropists give their money for socialist causes because they feel 'guilty' and hope that they can somehow be exempted from the 'sin' of capitalism (i.e., being rich), without thinking about the consequences. This is even more true among the n-th generations of 'old money'.

Sorros is different. He holds Ph.D. in philosophy, so he knows the difference between socialism, capitalism, etc. He seems to have welfare-state mind: capitalism is okay but it has to be sensitive to the 'disadvantage' and in the long run it has to change the social structure. Hence, he has the 'open society' for the former communist countries, but at the same time advocating for more socialist policies for the industrial countries.

Soros own words -— He told one interviewer that he had “godlike, messianic ideas,” and another that he sometimes thought of himself as “superhuman.” To still a third he explained that his “goal is to become the conscience of the world.”
