...I got a hunch Obama told Holder come up with a no-harm-no-foul report...it's an attempt to head this thing off and avoid Congressional hearings.

...ACORN has applied for or received any DOJ grant money...

Big deal... I don't think our money was funnelled to them through the DOJ anyway.

The problem is, is that there are so many citizen journalists (and one of two "real?" journalists) that will make their name by digging farther, wider and deeper than the DOJ. I'm guessing that th DOJ comes back with a slap on the wrist in order for ACORN to stay "involved" even if they are sent to the corner for a time-out.

Fine is a well respected man and will do a thorough job. Every IG should be doing what he is regarding ACORN.

This is laughable. And ACORN will no longer have anything to do with the census. Any more fairy tales ?

Is this the same DoJ that dropped the charges against the Black Panthers in Philadelphia? Guess we already know what the outcome of this “probe” will be, don’t we.

I think I have seen that states Attys General are investigating as well. Wish I remembered if they were Republican or Democrat. Pretty sure New York was one of them.

There might be enough investigations that a total white-wash might not be possible (remember, the Government Oversight committee released a report in July as well).

No. The Inspector General is the person charged with auditing the operations of the Dept. He was appointed many years ago , and has operated in this post before Obama was elected.

It is the Attorney General (Eric Holder) who dropped the Panther charges.

I learn a lot from F.R. posters, but am often appalled at how many shoot off their mouths without knowing what they are talking about.
