Big mistake to go down this road. We shouldn’t be fighting each other in the public forum. It’s what the media wants. Geez, Mark.

I’ve never really understood why Hillary was so easy and just gave up. Not a characteristic of her or her husband.
Always figured there was some alternate plan or ulterior motive. Maybe a payback in the future. I just figured they would have fought tooth and nail.

As for Beck, I am surprised and saddened he said this. Even if he goes after Obama’s Administration.

No, these stupid quarrels hurt. We always talk about Republicans being their own worst enemies. Now it’s conservative talk show hosts who can’t see that they’re winning and who the real target is. And saying this to Couric? The libs will laugh their arses off at the infighting and rub their hands together.

I’ve listened enough of Beck to know what he meant. He believes that with McCain the move left would have been more gradual and that there wouldn’t have been the pushback that Obama is getting. Thus, he would have been even more successful in moving the nation left.

Glenn Beck is pandering. Honestly, quite a few of us knew Obama was going to be bad, even this bad, but most of the country had no idea. He was supposed to be the best thing since the teleprompter was invented... The Anti-Bush, the Hopenchange Messiah.

What would McCain have done? Who knows? Obama surprised a lot of people with his instant failure, perhaps McCain would have shocked us too?

I don’t know. Beck is out there exposing Obama tooth and nail and he’s just throwing a bone to his detractors. He’s lost quite a few advertisers because of the boycott, and may be getting some internal pressure from FoxNews execs.

It all seems a little too convenient for Beck. I have noticed that he and O’Reilly seem to play some kind of Ying and Yang game on the network for some reason, but Bill doesn’t do anything that doesn’t give Bill some benefit at least if to feed his own ego.

It’s hard to say whether or not McCain would have been worse. 1 thing is for sure, McCain would pander to the media who would have surely been livid that ‘Racist’ America turned against the Black Messiah and voted for ‘Bush II’, I’m not so sure it would have been what we wanted. That’s why McCain was such a terrible candidate.

Yes. I believe that even Rush said something like this way back. That it might be better if we lost and woke some people up to RINO’s and the real left agenda.

Chill it, Mark. This kind of behavior really makes me mad. It looks cheap and snarky. And it looks like Beck’s success is getting to you. I thought you were better than that.

I personally don’t like what Beck said, and Mark gets a little sensitive over Glenn equally blaming Republicans and dems. Remember, Beck is a Libertarian, so, of course, he’s going after both parties.

But, this won’t stop me from listening to either one of them. We need more than one source of information, and Levin is brilliant with Constitutional Law. Beck is brilliant when he goes after corruption. No problem here for me.

Note that Mrs Palin is above the fray. We don't, and won't, see any devisive actions, or words, as they pertain to the GOP, coming from her.
She truly is head and shoulders above all in the Party and on the Right.

McCain would have been better for the country in the short term, worse for the republicans. Whether the pain of Obama will end up making our country better in the long run than we would have been with McCain remains to be seen.

In any case, it’s hardly useful if all the conservative commentators agree with each other all the time.

I'm with you on questioning why Hillary, “the smartest woman in the world” fell for the ploy of her appointment and abandoned her seat in the Senate. I always thought she had some escape hatch somewhere that she could take if she wanted to get out of the situation. She appears though that she isn't happy with her position nor does she seem to know what and how to regain her status and respect from the public......and Beck should not have said he would have voted for Hillary over McCain.

Both Hillary and McCain are terrible, but at least Palin was on McCain's ticket and McCain we would not have to contend with such a total Communist/Socialist Dictator. Also, McCain would have backed our men and women in uniform, BIG TIME!

I have to side with Levin. He’s brilliant and a real Constitutionalist.

He believes in retaking the Republican party for the Conservatives, not abandoning it so that we split the anti-Democrat vote which always spells disaster.

McCain would have been a disappointment on many issues, as he truly is a RINO, but I believe he would have been far better on taxes and spending and he definitely is not a communist like Zero!

Beck is 100% correct on this one, Levin is a dinosaur. Out to pasture Levin!

If McCain would have been elected, all this fine energy and action we see now would be nonexistent-—and the mass corruption at the federal level would still be firmly under the rug.

There's not enough of the video clip to judge, but it is entirely possible that Beck is up to his old tricks. He has no regard for the two-party system, in fact, he regards the Republican Party is only marginally less deplorable that the Democratic Party and that grudging distinction may be entirely due to the fact that it is the Democrats who happen to be in power. Beck never misses an opportunity to gratuitously bash the Republican Party.

I believe this comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of historic workings of the American political system which thrives with a two-party arrangement and flounders when third-party groups like Ross Perot or the Libertarians emerge. With the great historical exception of the demise of the Whigs over slavery, the third party movement invariably commits the party it wants to reform to electoral oblivion and assures the dominance of the party most distant from it. In this process the splinter movement either declines into oblivion or is absorbed in one of the two dominant parties.

I suspect Glenn Beck wants to see the destruction of both political parties and the emergence of his worldview as the dominant philosophy. Whether or not that is Glenn Beck's intention, the effect of his chronic "plague on both your houses" approach will be the same if he gets his way.

Glenn Beck is essentially saying that there is no difference between Obama, Hillary or McCain because there is no difference to him between Republicans and Democrats.

I concede that this is a huge leap from a fragment of the video which is available to us. It will be interesting to see the rest to judge his justification for this preposterous notion that McCain would be worse than Obama. I have posted repeatedly that I admire Glenn Beck's talent and have high hopes for the great service he can do American and even the Republican Party and the conservative movement. He is absolutely the Jeremiah against the very real threat to our Republic and our democracy posed by Barack Obama. There is no other voice right now equal to his. There is a great danger in the man though. One is his psychological stability and the other is his loose cannon, maverick proclivities which may or may not be symptomatic of a kind of megalomania.

yeah that’s what we should do. We should vote for democrats like kerry and Obama so that the GOP would be more pure. Of course, they would be in the minority and won’t really DO anything while the left takes over the country...

He’s only saying what Rush himself has pondered on his show. Look at how deep the corruption is. That gets to amplify and multiply under McCain. With Obama it’s being flushed out. Obama is showing the country how craptastic liberals are. McCain would have bee Johnny Go-along. I can see Beck’s point.
