You forget one thing: the MSM is now much less relevant than even four years ago.

FoxNews has more ratings than MSNBC, CNN, and HeadLineNews COMBINED. If Fox covers it, and talk radio and the blogs cover it, and the MSM don't, then too many people will ask questions about suppression of news.
