Taking the Green Car Challenge on Thursday nights Jay Leno Show, a svelte Rush Limbaugh -- declining to don a helmet -- hopped into the electric Ford Focus on Lenos track behind his NBC studio in Burbank, but instead of driving around the hanging cut outs of Al Gore and Ed Begley Jr., Limbaugh ran right into them.
Then, to Lenos cries of Oh, cmon!, a delighted Limbaugh accepted the penalty against his time score and stopped, backed up and smashed into them again. Limbaughs maneuvering ensured a lower score (greater time) than the three previous contestants since Lenos show debuted last week: Drew Barrymore, Al Michaels and Bob Costas.
But that didnt bother Limbaugh who afterward pumped his fists as he boasted: It was worth it! It was worth it!
LMFAO!!! Way to go Rush!!!
lol.
sounds hilarious
Rush is such a hoot as always!
Rush was great. He managed to say a lot in a short amount of time. The audience was very enthusiastic, with loud clapping and cheering whenever he made an important point. All in all, a very effective appearance.
Thanks for the link chuck.
Might I just add (clarify) that the video clip can be watched here on the Newsbusters web page:
I saw it too, it was great!
I thought Rush appeared rather nervous and he rushed through his comments.
LSMFT Rush is the ruler.
When asked about bankers compensation he should have pointed out Hollywood salaries! How much is it moral for Oprah to earn? Spielberg?
Rush rules!
I concur, my only regret when talking about medicare he could have mentioned the staggering fraud every year....enough to run several businesses!

Haha, I love Rash.
I don’t remember Oprah or Spielberg getting any Bailout money .
LSMFT? Lucky Strikes or Loose Strap?
(Enquiring minds want to know!) ;-P
Rush was a hoot, as I expected. While Jay may not be as liberal as many, Rush took on Jay’s liberalism by challenging the usual liberal premises that Jay made.
The running over Algore part was the best, though. Too bad this couldn’t be a NASCAR event!
Government imposed salary caps are not a good idea. Risk taking by bankers, however, consists largely of putting other people’s money at risk, and we’ve seen how dangerous that is when done on a large scale.
Or is it dangerous for the bankers? If the government insures their debt then why not “let ‘er rip”!
Taped it and watched this a.m. with mrs. jimfree. Hysterical! Leno’s play-by-play (words to effect of): “He stops, he’s backing up, he’s running over Al Gore again.”
He hit Ed Begley, Jr. twice, too. Classic.
The best line from his appearance was when asked by Jay Leno who Rush would like to see in the presidency, he said, “Me, but I don’t want the pay cut.” LMAO!
Rush did a great job, as always. It will probably be the only time I watch Jay’s show...until Rush is on the next time, of course.
And we don’t remember the Oil companies or Insurance companies getting any bailout money either.
Pray for America and our Troops
“Rush rules” is right! bttt
That was SO funny! I think Rush did a great job and I loved the ‘forum’. Beat ANY Sunday morning tv show, IMHO. It was good hearing Leno’s take on issues.
Do I know Rush or do I know Rush?
[I can just see it know, on that stupid little race track, they have cut outs of Al Gore and some other environmentalist jerk that they are supposed to avoid or they lose points.
What would Rush do? My guess he would try to RUN THROUGH them.
STATE MEDIA REPORTS: LIMBAUGH SHOWS HIS HATRED OF ALGORE AND ALL ENVIRONMENTALISTS. HE WOULD KILL THEM ALL IF HE COULD.]

Way to go Rush.
It was not for lack of trying.

It was great!
Got the feeling Jay was in on the thing from the gitgo.
I love that guy. I was completely hoping he’d deliberately hit Gore and then back up and hit him again.
That was particularly encouraging. I was amazed at the applause that he got, in Hollywood of all places, articulating Conservative points.
Time for 1980 again? :-)
If anyone noticed Rush's cochlear device (situated behind his left year), he should have realized that it would have been very difficult for Rush to put on the helmet. So, Rush skillfully blew it off with bravado.
I also saw him adjust the device once or twice during his interview. People, Rush is deaf w/o this device. What you or I take for granted as hearing humans, is a challenge for him. I commend his fighting ability, to not be discouraged and accept this opportunity to voice what many of us think, but do not have the venue which he angled for last night.
God bless you, Rush!
