Primary schoolchildren filmed singing a song praising President Obama are at the centre of a storm of controversy in the U.S. after the video was posted on the internet.
Right wing critics blasted the school for promoting politics in the classroom.
The video shows more than a dozen children dancing and singing a song about the president, quoting from his speeches and campaign slogans.
The chorus includes the chant ‘Mmm, mmm, mm! Barack Hussein Obama.’
One verse says: ‘He said that all must lend a hand. To make this country strong again.’
Another goes: ‘He said we must be clear today. Equal work means equal pay.’
The film was first posted on YouTube on September 6, just two days before the president made a controversial speech to students at the start of the autumn term.
But officials at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, New Jersey, deny the timing had anything to do with politics and said the song was performed back in February.
They said the recording of the class song was ‘not authorised’ and it should never have been put online.
‘The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognised each February to honour the contributions of African Americans to our country,' said a statement from school superintendent Christopher Manno.
‘Our curriculum studies, honours and recognises those who serve our country,’ the statement adds.
The school also denied reports from a local radio station that the row over the video had led to a heavy police presence.
‘This is not true. Our children are safe and our school resource officer is present to assist the administration with this matter,’ said a spokesman.

This thing had nothing to do with Black History month and they damn well know that.
The children basically were used to film a commercial for BO’s friend’s endeavors, without their parents’ permission or compensation. She’d beter dust off those law school credentials, because she is going to face a fluury of litigation, as is the school district for allowing teh exploitation of the kids.
Evidently there is an even more chilling video that the msm is studiously avoiding playing.

The parents were not informed. Two sets of parents have been on Fox and Friends already this AM, their kids were in the video and they had no idea. They sound like good conservatives too.

Have we asked them what they did exactly to study, honor and recognize Clarence Thomas or Condoleeza Rice? I am sure they have extensive examples.
Get rid of Presidents’ Day and bring back Washington’s Birthday. We have a month to honor Black individuals and we have a day for Martin Luther King. It isn’t too much to ask to have one day to honor the individual who was instrumental in the founding of the country and happens to be White. It’s the little things like this, when added up, that are breaking down our sense of cohesiveness and culture. We were bullied for decades into a lot of foolishness and it is time to say STOP IT.

Not to sound unkind, but you're either tone-deaf or you have been misinformed. Stylistically, it's more like a simplistic rap song.
One of the verses is a derivative of Jesus Loves Me, but that's only the lyric part of it. And yes, it's very offensive that children cannot sing Jesus Loves Me, yet they can use lines from in a song about Obama. Or ANY president, for that matter. We don't worship presidents in this country.
Again, I don't mean to be petty, but it's important to be accurate when describing outrages to others. It's much easier to discredit you when your facts are not straight.

Is the “right leaning columnist” correct? Did “Charisse” post this video? Is she a teacher at the school? Is she one of the black women in the background heard coaching and encouraging the kids? Is she a relative or friend of a kid in the video? How did Charisse get this video? Did she have the permission of the parents to publish a video of their children praising Dear Leader?
That little blonde boy who is trying so hard to get it right, broke my heart. He and the other kids should be chanting times tables, not fables about Dear Leader.
Did these little kids think our country was not “strong” or committed to equality until Dear Leader took over? This is what whoever wrote the chant is teaching them. This is why it is WRONG.
BTW, I showed this video to my kids last night. Also videos of Hitler Youth and North Koreans and Young Pioneers singing and chanting praise to their leaders. They were repulsed and I encouraged them to be.

The commie manifesto is prepping our children in our schools.
Every school official involved in this commie indoctrination campaign for children should be fired immediately. That would include all those directly involved in it’s production, those who knew about it and did nothing to stop it, and those who were made aware later who did nothing about it.
A message has to be sent to these commies to keep their politics out of the classroom. That indoctrinating our children into the commie manifesto will not be tolerated. A good measure toward that end would be to fire them all.
If there are any remaining non-commie American patriots in this New Jersey school district, then now is the time for them to take a stand for America by demanding they all be fired immediately.

The people responsible for this are either too young or too ignorant to know what real communism is about. And this kind of thing doesn’t just happen, it had to be practiced.
