Watching Fox and Friends around 7:30, they gave a report from the DC Mall. With pictures showing a few Muslim men standing in between the camera and the Capitol backdrop. The reporter was standing under an umbrella. The picture did not show how few there were...

Prayers were answered!
I will soon have a web site to begin answering the question of his (their) love of travel.
www.wherezobama.org (also registered .com). It will be complete with Google Earth and links to White House site for speeches. I am looking for helpers. I will add Michelle's adventures to the list when it gets going. I also registered www.obamaadventure.com/org as well with directors.
He flew from the White House to Andrews to NYC to Pittsburgh and then back to DC. Jets, limos, Suburbans, helicopters, and hordes of personnel equals an unseemly amount in these times!
I'm still trying to find the passenger roster for the "picture flight! Is can't be found, apparently.
The weather forecast has the rain ending, and no rain for the rest of the day.
People don’t start heading somewhere in the rain. They won’t have as many, I suspect.
AMEN!!!!! Keep praying for rain ALL day in that area!
[...]It is also unclear whether he will reach his attendance goal of 50,000 people. The interesting part is how the Black Caucus has so many Muslim staffers. Some local groups have been slow to sign on to the prayer event. Rizwan Jaka, a spokesman for the All Dulles Area Muslim Society, one of the region's largest mosques, said the congregation was too busy with Ramadan and other activities to become involved.
[...]
Jihad Sileh, a spokesman for the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association, said his group's regularly scheduled midday prayer service is at 12:30 p.m., so it won't be an official part of the prayer event. The congressional association is also sponsoring a 1 p.m. prayer service for the Congressional Black Caucus at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, so many staffers will not have time to head over to the Capitol for outdoor prayers.
Whodathunkit?
LOL!
I can imagine what that plan was. Even if only a theoretical plan, it made me smile.
A pack of dogs losing their leads would complete it...
Muslims gather to pray at Capital Hill, organized by Elizabeth mosque

WASHINGTON D.C. -- A day of Islamic prayer on Capitol Hill, organized by the Dar-Ul-Islam mosque in Elizabeth, kicked off at 6 a.m. as about 60 Muslims gathered for the morning prayer.
The melodic Call to Prayer, known in Arabic as the adhan, filled the air east of the National Mall before sunrise. Separated by gender, the assembled Muslims stood, knelt and prostrated themselves toward the Capitol Dome. facing east toward Mecca. They made up a small percentage of the thousands expected for the 1 p.m. prayer.
Well, it does only say "men"! (covers screen to hide!)
Bill O’Reiley says there are 75,000 there.
On page 261 of the “Audacity of Hope”, Obama wrote: “In the wake of 9/11..., I will stand with the [Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
Damnn that BushHitlerian Rove!
Didn’t they predict rain for 9/12?
