Portman has pulled even after trailing for months. The tide is still turning. My only problem is that they didn’t include results from Portman’s primary opponent.

A measure of Portman’s weakness — with the job situation and business climate in Ohio, he should be blowing their doors off. But the repubbies all line up behind him because — If I hear it again I'll puke — He's paid his dues!

There is another Republican running, auto dealer Tom Ganley. If I lived in Ohio, I’d vote for him.

Is he from the Cleveland area? Now that you mention it, I heard an interview on the radio and liked what I heard.

Ohio would have to be insane to elect Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner as their Governor.

Every time one of these threads comes up I’m going to ask the same question: Is Portman a conservative or rino? Any answer less than conservative, will be a useless vote!

Brunner was instrumental in turning this state blue - it could happen.

Portman supports amnesty and sanctuary cities. He’s a RINO. I’m goin with Tom Ganley.

Democrats still have plenty of time to manufacture some type of catastrophe and then come to the rescue in order to garner public support. In case many of you didn't hear, a terrorist plot was foiled in Dallas, Texas yesterday. What the news was slow to report, is that the plot was never a dangerous threat, just a sting op in which the FBI nabbed an Islamic fundamentalist who had intense passion against the U.S. and thought he had a real bomb. Everything was supplied by the U.S., only the terrorist wannabe supplied the passion.
This was a suspicious happening at a time when the Demo-controlled government is running up against walls enacting their agenda and seeing record low approval ratings. Expect more of this, especially nearer the elections.

Met with Portman the other night. He’s being “lined up behind” because a) he’s conservative, b) he was a very good congressman, c) he’s a decent guy, and d) he can win.

He is vastly more conservative than VOINO. With Sen. Portman, we would have had ANWAR, and no Gang of 14. He is light years better than either of the Dems, and he has the money.

He is vastly more conservative than VOINO.Look, you have to be sticklers about this, if this guy would vote for amnesty, or if there are some things he would side with dems on which would be left wing "causes" he's a rino and you should NOT vote for him. The point I'm making is exactly this, being more conservative than VOINO doesn't say much, if you can't get a committed conservative to run, then you've lost!
We have to show the Repub party we won't vote for any kind of a rino, if you keep voting for them they will run as repubs. We don't want them!

Every Republican is a "RINO" at some point in you guys's estimation. Reagan signed off on amnesty; he didn't cut government one iota; he pulled out of Lebanon; he didn't actively work against any of the Republicans who screwed him on the tax bill. So he's a RINO? Please.
You support whom you want, I'll support whom I want. If you want Jennifer Brunner, go for it.
