As I reported yesterday, talk show host and MSNBC’s lowest rated host Ed Schultz Wednesday stated Republicans “want to see you dead,” “kinda like it” when women without insurance get cancer, and suggested Sen. Olympia Snowe allow cancerous tumors to spread through her body for two weeks before seeking treatment. Last night, he offered wimpy “clarifications” that neither apologized for his outrageous remarks nor clarified anything.
At one point, he made a defense out of his character, saying, “for clarification, those of you who watch ‘The Ed Show’ or listen to the Ed Schultz radio show, you know exactly who I am and you know exactly where I’m coming from.” Those who do either will recognize the splittle-flecked rage rant. Brian Maloney of Radio Equalizer has a small list of his meltdowns, including likening Rush Limbaugh to Adolf Hitler, calling Sen. Richard Shelby a “terrorist,” and becoming embroiled in a 2007 bar confrontation. Most recently, he invited Rep. Michelle Bachmann “to slit her wrist right here on ‘The Ed Show.’”
His clarification last night began:
What an ugly lookin’ dude. Never heard of him.
Hey, Ed! How’s the dog?
This guy is just a useful idiot for the Clown Universe; and human debris on parade!
Is it true Ed never had sex with the dog?

No, but in a fit of pique, he shot his own hunting dog.
At least that’s the story around town in North Dakota. I talked to one of the first guys on the scene, and it was his impression that Ed shot his dog for misbehaving in the field.
Ed tells the story differently, of course. So there’s some dispute. ;-)

Lowest rated MSNBC show? He must have less crew working on his set than the others.
Maybe it was a pound for pound measurement. As such, his fat face never had a chance!
Very few people have heard of him because you’d find a bigger audience in a football huddle than Schultz has for his show.
Of course, conservatives give these blowhards more exposure on forums like this than they could ever get from their programs.
We’re better off simply ignoring them. Losers like this crave any kind of attention at all, so why give them any?

Schultz was to be the Left’s answer to Rush Limbaugh. Ed somehow never reached his potential to challenge Rush.
Crazy Ed is again trying to stir up some controversy in hopes of picking up a viewer or two. His days at PMNBC are numbered and he knows it.
Is MSNBC still wondering why they’re in the ratings cellar?
