I never implied that this jackass had some right to destroy someone else’s property. I was ineffective in expressing my point. He was punished by the crowd, whereas he SHOULD have been reported to the police, resulting in a permanent record. Now, the POS gets off easy with a few hours humiliation. If he breaks a law again, it will be treated as a first offense. The crowd PROTECTED him from being punished by the rule of law.

If he was reported to the police with the laws today the way they are he probably would have got off scott free anyway. This way he had a choice and it was his choice of method used. Myself would have liked to go one on one with this jerk. The crowd protected him from getting his a$$ kicked in good I agree. Embarrassment is better I feel.

....."You sound like the sort of thuggish idiot"....
Well, we have many thuggish idiots here in Texas. We have our share of yankee's trying to keep from freezing their pee pee's off here, but they usually conform or run back home. Please stay away from us as we may waste some of your time putting you in a hospital. We are also armed here and know which end is the business end. If you choose to bun a flag here, you will most likely end up hurt, I don't care how well you think you are protected. You won't make it as well as you seem to think.
Oh, and I appreciate your commendation on my ability to advance the conservative cause. We take particular pride with that here in Texas.
To: chuckles
Yeah, I'm sure your brand of conservatism is working wonders for republicans in the Texas legislature. Oh, and thanks for finally getting back to me.
Yankee.

...Seems the other thread is locked down. The flag burning issue comes up 2, 3 times a year. It's wwwway down the list of things I worry about. But, I end up wasting time responding to it. I don't want to see the flag burned in protest, and, I don't stay around for it. But, if someone wants to burn the flag, it's no business of mine. It's not unlawful, although there are the zealot politicians that want to ban it, for their own personal agendas...
...These persons had no right, no matter how distasteful the act, to break the law. Should they be prosecuted, yea, but pilloried or jailed, maybe not. It should be left to the judge or jury...
