Actress Tawny Kitaen Arrested in Calif. for DUI

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Police in California say former actress Tawny Kitaen has been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.
Newport Beach police Sgt. Shontel Sherwood says Kitaen was arrested at about 3 p.m. Saturday when officers suspected she had been driving her Range Rover under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Kitaen was still in custody early Saturday evening.
William Briggs, an attorney who has previously represented Kitaen, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
The 48-year-old Kitaen recently appeared on the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew."
She first found fame appearing in 1980s music videos for future husband David Coverdale's band Whitesnake. She also played the bride-to-be of Tom Hanks' character in the 1984 film "Bachelor Party."

Tawny Kitaen, actress and ex-wife of former Angels pitcher Chuck Finley, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence this afternoon.
Kitaen, 48, was arrested by Newport Beach Police at 3 p.m. She was released on a $2,500 bail.
It is unclear if Kitaen, of Newport Beach, was under the influence of alcohol, prescription drugs or both, said Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Burdette.
Kitaen was arrested near John Wayne Airport at Bristol North and Campus Street after being involved in a traffic collision. There were no injurues and no report on damages to either of the cars, said Burdette.
Kitaen was a cast member for season 2 of reality TV show, “Celebrity Rehab.” Three years ago, Kitaen entered a drug rehabilitation program after pleading guilty to possessing 15 grams of cocaine.
She was arrested in 2002 on charges she abused her then-husband, former Angels pitcher Chuck Finley.
At that time, Associated Press reported that she agreed to anger management and conflict resolution counseling in exchange for the dismissal of two misdemeanor counts of spousal abuse

In 2006, police said they found 15 grams of cocaine in her apartment after she gave them permission to search the premises. All charges were dropped, when she agreed to undergo a rehabilitation program.

Anyone know how Rodney King is doing? He was the only "celebrity" on that show that I actually found myself hoping for the best. The rest of them just seemed to be looking for television face time (except for poor Steven Adler whose just a total lost cause).

During an interview on Youtube, lead guitarist Robbin Crosby said he was involved for several years with actress Tawny Kitaen and that things went downhill when Tawny began to have an affair with OJ Simpson while he was still married to Nicole.
On the video Tawny’s roommate claims she heard Simpson on several occasions enraged over Tawny’s other boyfriend, Crosby. Crosby said he was with Kitaen for seven years until one night Simpson showed up at a hotel looking for the couple.

Kitaen’s life had spiraled out of control.
She was arrested Monday night after arguing with Finley as they drove home from dinner, said Tori Richards, a spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney’s office. Richards said Finley was driving when Kitaen began kicking him with her high-heeled shoes.
“She kicked him in the thigh, in the leg, in the arm, she grabbed his ear and twisted it,” Richards said. “At one point, her high-heel shoe was on top of his foot pressing the accelerator to the ground.”
A third party called 911 after the couple arrived at their Newport Beach home, Richards said. Kitaen was arrested after police saw abrasions and scrapes on her husband’s body.
A judge issued a restraining order against Kitaen, ordering her to have no contact with her husband. Richards said Kitaen will live in the Newport Beach home, while Finley will stay elsewhere. Source - ESPN
With the Simpson trial looming, sources have begun telling us about illicit romances they say O.J. had during his seven-year marriage to Nicole Brown Simpson. The woman mentioned most often is actress Tawny Kitaen, 32, cohost of ABC’s now defunct America’s Funniest People and mother of California Angels pitcher Chuck Finley’s out-of-wedlock child.
Three sources, who insist on anonymity, claim Simpson carried on an extramarital affair with Kitaen in the mid-’80s. During that time, one source says, Simpson regularly “showered Tawny with gifts and kept her in hotel suites” that were “never a long drive away” from wherever Simpson and Nicole were staying.
Kitaen’s manager, Melissa Prophet, who happens to be the wife of producer Craig Baumgarten, a longtime friend of Simpson’s, declined comment in all matters regarding her client’s past or present relationship with Simpson. O.J.’s lawyer, Robert Shapiro, did not comment.

Let me see if I have this right, she had a child with Finley in 93. She finally married Finley in 97 just before having a second child with him but she was dating Seinfeld and Stewart during that same period.

Getting arrested is not a new thing for Tawny. She should take up making neon lights from her father and learn some self-discipline and self-worth through being productive.
Now that is a cautionary tale. A woman who had looks. After hitting the sauce, she turned into some freak.
Remember...Booze is a good friend but a terrible boss.
