The left always tries to portray us as not believing McVeigh did it but that’s a typical leftist tactic. They attack the fantasy that they create rather than confronting the real issue.

There’s no realistic doubt that McVeigh did it but there is plenty of doubt that he and Nichols were on their own. I don’t believe they had the brain power between them.

Yep, they put up a straw-man and bravely knock it down. Takes real brain power to do that... I suspect it was a crisis Clinton didn't want to waste... he turned it political - acted like all Republicans were "in" on it. Didn't they try to pin some on Rush?

Funny how they did the exact opposite with the World Trade Center - 3,000 Americans die and it's ONLY the act of a few - all Muslims can not be indited. ( Which I agree with - not all Muslims were in on that - but a lot more agreed with the sentiment than Republicans with this mess - none as far as I can tell)

"Trentadue began a personal inquiry into the bombing after his brother died at the Oklahoma City Federal Transfer Center in August 1995. He contends guards mistook his brother for a bombing suspect and killed his brother during an interrogation. The official cause of his brother’s death is listed as suicide."

Suicide DURING an interrogation???? The cops WATCHED a suicide of their prisoner????

IMHO, the FBI had plants in with the terrorists.

They thought they had it under control. And they didn’t.

They didn’t want to take the blame. End of story.

FOX has another article on this:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,556186,00.html

Interesting Quote: “”Four cameras in four different locations going blank at basically the same time on the morning of April 19, 1995. There ain't no such thing as a coincidence,” Trentadue said.”

AND

""The interesting thing is they spring back on after 9:02," he said. "The absence of footage from these crucial time intervals is evidence that there is something there that the FBI doesn't want anybody to see.""

Bush did too. When it was discovered there was more evidence they did not hold off on executing McVeigh. It was like they wanted to end the whole matter. Once he was dead, it was over.

The Partin report is at the core of the additional explosives conspiracy theories but his assumptions have a fatal flaw easily exposed by some very basic math. I’ll refer to one of the many copies of Parin’s report available on the internet;

“The maximum possible yield from 4800 pounds of ammonium nitrate would be obtained if it were in a compressed sphere and detonated from the center. That would produce a 4.4 foot diameter sphere of detonation products at about 500,000 pounds per square inch. By the time the blast wave hits the closest column, the pressure would have fallen off to about 375 pounds per square inch. That would be far below the 3500 pound compressive yield strength of the concrete. Any column or beam failure from the truck bomb would therefore have been from blast wave structural loading and not from any wave of deformation in the concrete.”

The crux of Partin’s argument is that an overpressure of 375 PSI on the closest column (G20) could not have failed it because 375 PSI is less than the concrete’s compressive strength of 3500 PSI. The column would not fail in compression though - it would fail from tremendous side loads. Failure in compression would be like putting a one inch square of concrete in a hydraulic press, 3500PSI concrete would require 3500 PSI of pressure to fail in compression. But construct a column of concrete one inch square and say ten feet long. Support the ends and load the middle, will it take 3500 PSI to fail it in bending? Of course not. This illustrates the difference of failure in compression and failure because of side load. Column G20 was 36” x 20” and over 20 feet tall. Lets talk about the 20” side being exposed to 375 PSI overpressure. At 375 PSI overpressure each foot of column G20 would have a side loading of 90,000 pounds. This means a ten foot section of column G20 would have a side load of 900,000 pounds. That is an instant side loading of 450 tons on a ten foot section of column G20, now consider the column is over 20 feet long. Do you think it would collapse from this kind of side loading? What totally destroys Partin’s analysis is using a 1457 PSI overpressure on column G20, something one of his own illustrations shows. This means the side loading on the same ten foot section of column G20 would be 3,540,000 pounds or 1770 tons of instant side loading.

There are other oversights in Partin’s analysis like the fact the Murrah bomb was ANNM (ammonium nitrate / nitromathane) not ANFO (ammonium nitrate / fuel oil) plus it was shaped. Shaping the charge can radically change the blast effect because of converging shockwaves (Munroe effect).

For more reasonable and logical analysis of the Murrah building failure mode see this link;

“The attached report contains conclusive proof that the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was not caused solely by the truck bomb. Evidence shows that the massive destruction was primarily the result of four demolition charges placed at critical structural points at the third floor level. “

If that's all you think it involved then I'll be taking you off the suspect list.

Chuckle, you can take me off the list.

I could have done it I guess, we used fertilizer as the explosive for a 'remodeling' project that involved removing large concrete walls inside a livestock building. No diesel fuel though. Back then it was simply a cost issue, we cut the dynamite way back and replaced it with fertilizer.

I am aware that there was a lot of 'planning' that went into OKC, but the explosive part itself, nothing to it. Even this old hog farmer could have done it.

I've never understood all the 'planning' though, if I were doing it I sure wouldn't want to expose the whole project to that risk .

I think it's more about getting the final courage.

Interesting report:

A very close friend of mine was at the time
an Asst. Fire Chief in the Denver Fire Department.

He spent a week in Oklahoma City as a first responder.

I have a background in shaped High Explosives
and blast patterns from the military.

I asked about a the blast crater.

He assured me that there was no blast crater.

There was no damage to the building across the street.

So I find your report suspect.

>>the direct result of the governments aggression

OKC was the directly result of methamphetamine fueled stupidity.

All it ultimately accomplished were dead pre-schoolers, a new and improved Federal Building in OKC, and an even more out of control government Bureaucracy that used said stupidity as justification for inching further toward the police state that human governance, by human nature, ALWAYS tends toward.
