Long-secret security tapes showing the chaos immediately after the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building are blank in the minutes before the blast and appear to have been edited, an attorney who obtained the recordings said Sunday.
The real story is what's missing," said Jesse Trentadue, a Salt Lake City attorney who obtained the recordings through the federal Freedom of Information Act as part of an unofficial inquiry he is conducting into the April 19, 1995, bombing that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.

If anyone has a decent photo of Carol Howe they should post it. Cute gal. Lucky (IMHO) to have survived the government's attempt to frame her for a crime they knew she did not commit. The reason?: She had advanced warning about the OKC bombing and was willing to testify to that fact. Unfortunately for Carol Howe, such testimony was not seen to be in the "national interest".
Relatively low-level government employees were being protected there.. the OKC bombing just may go all the way into an Oval Office or two. It is the cover-up I'm talking about.
I have wondered. I mean, If I had blown up a building full of men, women, and children, and got pulled over by a cop while driving with no license plates, with a 9mm loaded in reach, a highway patrollman just might end their career on the spot. What is one more? Drive away and ditch the vehicle.
It is as if McVeigh wanted to be caught. Maybe he figured he'd walk, not take the fall.
The only thing, I can think of that would involve “National Security” would be if the missing information proved that the government incorrectly tried, convicted, & executed an innocent man or that the government was actually involved in the killing of the Citizens there. That is, if the Government did something that would cause a “loss of face” or, “undermine” the legitimacy of its authority; for it is this ‘authority’ which would become null & void should the government be killing its Citizens.
The Clinton administration made political hay out of the idea that a "right winged radical" murdered over a hundred people, allegedly in retribution for Waco.
The Waco massacre was due to be investigated in congressional hearings, gunowners were gaining momentum fighting the assault weapons ban, and progress was being made in the Randy Weaver/Ruby Ridge case as well.
The shift in public sentiment that came with the attribution of the OK City bombing to what has become the cliche carriacture of 'right winged, Constitution quoting, radical gun nuts (who love Jesus)', took a lot of the wind out of the sails of the anti-Clinton, anti-DOJ under Janet Reno outcry, and did, in the public psyche, more than counterbalence the horrors which the government had committed in Texas, Idaho, and elsewhere.
With the WTC Bombing in '93, and other terrorist events which had been attributed to foreign (islamic) terrorists, and leaking information that the WTC Bombing may have been a blown sting operation (iirc, the on board informant showed them how to make the explosive), the Clintons had everything to gain by denying foreign involvement and blaming factions on the Right.
After you scratch your head wondering why they were even then guarding federal buildings, not to mention they are one of the largest federal security contractors even today, will wonder why on that day, and only that day in their contract history guarding that building (They had the contract), no guards showed for duty...none...no posts were filled that day

What I remember most clearly is that, given the size of the blast, the truck was parked too far away from support pillars to have cut through the rebar, yet the rebar was cut by something blowing up at the same time as the truck.

Probably did not know his plates were removed. Officer asked him to step outside the car and that separated McVeigh from his weapon. But who knows, the feds apparently just helped a terrorist in Dallas get a vehicle and fake explosives. All that was lacking there was someone swapping real explosives for the fake ones some where along the line. What we know for certain is that we will never hear truth from the Feds. And anyone who speaks truth (Wilson on Obama, Bolton on Iran) is admonished.
We were at an OU football game when we heard an explosion over by the Botany building. A student who had spent three months in Pakistan allegedly blew himself up with a backpack after trying to get in the gates. The whole story didn’t track. The ‘bus’ driver said he saw him mess with the backup and it blew up taking only the top of his body, BUT the whole bench was blown into tiny little pieces so that didn’t track. The Feds said they found a suicide note on the computer three weeks after the event.
He was tabbed the ‘lone suicide bomber’ because of the authorities trying to make him out as a loner who blew himself up on purpose.
The Norman PD made 18 trips to bomb disposal area with bomb making chemicals from his apartment and car because if they took it all at once, it would have taken out a city block if it blew up. When they detonated the materials, it shook my home and windows over five miles away.
His roommate who has never been seen after being released that evening was from Pakistan and the ‘lone suicide bomber’ from Colorado spent months in Pakistan.
Supposedly when he tried to buy the same chemicals that McVeigh used to blow up the Murrah building the feds did not do anything when contacted but I have heard for sometime that they started following him and a lot of Feds were on campus that day which is unusual. They also announced that they didn’t see him on tapes from the gate cameras trying to enter the stadium. One slight problem, the only cameras at the time were focused on the ticket booths, but within a week OU got a federal grant to install cameras at all gates and yes they did have them installed before our next game.
A friend of the roommate worked in the stadium who also came from Pakistan.
Now we were supposed to swallow that he was depressed, blew himself up, and left a suicide note on his computer that the FBI didn’t find for three weeks. Don’t know of anyone that swallows that theory who was at the game or lives in this area.
So what is the real story?
Indeed, what you say is true. And it certainly is suspicious that McVeigh’s execution came so swiftly; especially in a system wherein murderers and rapists on death-row are given DECADES for appeals to go through.
Clintons had the Feds on a short string and a full investigation was not done of the Murrah Bombing including taking the building down way too early IMHO. Two and two never added up just like the ‘lone suicide bomber’ theory never made sense.
