Could you also refresh our memories of the Oklahoma University bomber?
You give them far more than I would.
Probably did not know his plates were removed. Officer asked him to step outside the car and that separated McVeigh from his weapon. But who knows, the feds apparently just helped a terrorist in Dallas get a vehicle and fake explosives. All that was lacking there was someone swapping real explosives for the fake ones some where along the line. What we know for certain is that we will never hear truth from the Feds. And anyone who speaks truth (Wilson on Obama, Bolton on Iran) is admonished.
We were at an OU football game when we heard an explosion over by the Botany building. A student who had spent three months in Pakistan allegedly blew himself up with a backpack after trying to get in the gates. The whole story didn’t track. The ‘bus’ driver said he saw him mess with the backup and it blew up taking only the top of his body, BUT the whole bench was blown into tiny little pieces so that didn’t track. The Feds said they found a suicide note on the computer three weeks after the event.
He was tabbed the ‘lone suicide bomber’ because of the authorities trying to make him out as a loner who blew himself up on purpose.
The Norman PD made 18 trips to bomb disposal area with bomb making chemicals from his apartment and car because if they took it all at once, it would have taken out a city block if it blew up. When they detonated the materials, it shook my home and windows over five miles away.
His roommate who has never been seen after being released that evening was from Pakistan and the ‘lone suicide bomber’ from Colorado spent months in Pakistan.
Supposedly when he tried to buy the same chemicals that McVeigh used to blow up the Murrah building the feds did not do anything when contacted but I have heard for sometime that they started following him and a lot of Feds were on campus that day which is unusual. They also announced that they didn’t see him on tapes from the gate cameras trying to enter the stadium. One slight problem, the only cameras at the time were focused on the ticket booths, but within a week OU got a federal grant to install cameras at all gates and yes they did have them installed before our next game.
A friend of the roommate worked in the stadium who also came from Pakistan.
Now we were supposed to swallow that he was depressed, blew himself up, and left a suicide note on his computer that the FBI didn’t find for three weeks. Don’t know of anyone that swallows that theory who was at the game or lives in this area.
So what is the real story?
Indeed, what you say is true. And it certainly is suspicious that McVeigh’s execution came so swiftly; especially in a system wherein murderers and rapists on death-row are given DECADES for appeals to go through.
Clintons had the Feds on a short string and a full investigation was not done of the Murrah Bombing including taking the building down way too early IMHO. Two and two never added up just like the ‘lone suicide bomber’ theory never made sense.
"The interesting thing is they spring back on after 9:02," he said. "The absence of footage from these crucial time intervals is evidence that there is something there that the FBI doesn't want anybody to see."
Well, it could be that part of the original video was damaged, or perhaps it is indeed purposely being deleted, for some still-unknown reason. I doubt that we'll get to the bottom of this with Obama at the helm.
Or perhaps Clinton really wanted to push through the anti-gun legislation and go after militia groups. But, it makes alot more sense for a white supremist to be teaming up with Arab terrorists, right?
Don’t forget about the Phoenix memos concerning the terrorist attacks of 9/11
The lone OU bomber, the one with a Pake roommate, who lived a block from the Norman mosque, worn an accolyte beard, and made explosives using a common terrorist formula? Sure, he was just a mis-understood young man!
I recall watching the aftermath of the 95 bombing the morning it happened. Was amazed at how the story turned right before our eyes, from Arab-looking men driving away in a brown chevy pickup, to right wing knuckle dragger neo-nazis were the villians.
The 95 bombing investigation conducted by Ms Davis and documented to the nth degree in her book "The Third Terrorist" is a must read! It's guaranteed to make a believer out of even the worst skeptic.
That yellow POS could only confront Monica’s lips.
What does Obama have to do with it? Wasn't some Republican fellow president for a few years before obama came along?
Well, the point is, no Republican or Democrat President will direct his Justice Department to investigate this event. Since Obama is in power now, my observation most directly applies to him.
The book is a definite must read.
Of all the ridiculous statements that were made, I think the worst was the one about the suicide note three weeks after the bomber was blown up and trying to make everyone think with all those explosives in his apartment/car they didn’t bother to check his computer(s). If they were that inept, the whole local FBI office should have been fired.
Then they turned the Norman satellite office for white crime into a terrorism office.
Local video of Murrah Bombing being shown. Channel 4 is showing their film and they are comparing the video to the FBI. A guy who was in the bombing on the 7th floor who survived said he doesn’t recognize OKC in the FBI video at all and he knows OKC well. The video shows people in the bottom of a parking garage after the bombing leaving the area but that makes no sense as the parking garage was part of the Murrah Building that was blown up — you could not leave from the basement after the bomb. They did not do any follow-up questions after his statement he didn’t recognize OKC in the FBI video.
we will never know the truth.....
he was stoic....
and for a DP person to be executed in such a short time, something truely stunk in that case...
The real interesting story behind McVeigh is that he claimed the military had implanted something into him for experimentation purposes. He was apparently seriously affected by the Gulf War, psychologically speaking.
There was a video out a few years back of McVeigh giving an interview with the Green Berets IIRC circa ‘93 (two years after he was supposedly out). I’ve always suspected the truth about OKC would have people marching on DC with pitchforks in hand.
A certain iraqi agent of sadaam’s is what is missing.
She is our LAST and BEST chance.
This was very interesting comparing the names and opinions from then to what we know today. Thanks for the reminder.
Always wondered if there was more to this than we heard.
I believe that's the reason all the black plastic paper was used. To hide all of the squared-off cuts caused by brissance. (Michael Rivero -- there's your clue.)
Not sure what you mean and what Rivero has to do with it.
He was wondering what all the black plastic was being used for. If I’m right, it was used to hide the squared-off explosion points that only high intensity explosions would account for. The only explosives supposedly used on the Murrah Building were low intensity and definitely not powerful or fast enough to account for the brissance necessary for the clean cuts. And the story is, that there was only one type of explosives used. To show that there must have been more than one type of explosive device used would have destroyed the states’ case.
That's a "BINGO!"
Well done (again), Backhoe!
Operation Bojinka. A plot to place liquid explosive devices under an airline passenger seat over the center fuel tank.
McVeigh was also the first person in history to:
1) Withdraw his appeals and waive all future appeals of his death sentence.(despite the fact that the FBI had failed to turn over more than 4,400 pages of documents to McVeighs defense)
2) Not request clemency. (as 99.9% of condemned prisoners do)
3) Request that no postmortem autopsy be performed after his execution. (an autopsy could kill you)
4) Have a smile on his face as he was executed.
5) have so many witnesses to his execution state how uneventful it was.
6) Have at least two reporters who witnessed his execution claim that he was still breathing after being pronounced dead.
Terry Nichols also stated that McVeigh told him that he had been recruited for undercover missions while serving in the military.
Speaking of executions, Richard Snell was executed on April 19, 1995, the same day of the Oklahoma City bombing. Twelve years earlier, in 1983, Shell had also planned to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, but was arrested, imprisoned, and convicted of unrelated murders.
And despite what the FBI has claimed, they could not have identified the Ryder truck with numbers from the rear axle. Rear axles do not have VIN numbers and are not uniquely identified.
The Final Report on the Bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building (Paperback)
This 556-page volume raises extremely important questions about the first major terrorist attack on U.S. shores, which was unfortunately not the last.
In hindsight, some observers wonder whether the devastating 1995 attack was both precursor and connected to the Sept. 11, 2002 attacks on New York and Washington which took more than 3,000 lives.
This research--conducted by the Oklahoma Bombing Investigation Committee, and funded by private citizens--raises many unsettling questions.
For starters it provides clear evidence that U.S. Federal authorities never found all of the perpetrators of the Oklahoma City attack, that they did not pursue every lead, and that they did not utilize all available physical evidence. Substantial evidence surfaced that dozens of crucial eyewitnesses were neither interviewed nor called at federal trials.
In October 1995, Oklahoma State Representative Charles Key petitioned the District Court of Oklahoma County for a Grand jury to be formed to investigate the bombing. His petition was denied in February 1997.
Nevertheless, an FBI agent swore in an affidavit included in this volume that Abraham Abdallah Ahmed, a Jordanian-born naturalized U.S. citizen detained by American Airlines security personnel in Chicago on April 19, 1995 met the description of one of the male suspects seen running from the scene of the bombing. Ahmed flew from Oklahoma City to Chicago after the bombing. The FBI man further swore that Ahmed's luggage, which continued to Rome, contained several car radios, substantial amounts of shielded and unshielded wire, a small tool kit and other tools. While these could be used for everyday work, they were also "consistent with use" for "explosive devices." Ahmed was requested to appear before a Grand Jury, but had fled.
The Grand Jury indicted Timothy McVeigh, along with "others unknown." Composites of two "others," each called "John Doe," are shown here. They were never found.
In addition, actual evidence from terrorist attacks in Columbia in 1989, Saudi Arabia and Lima Peru in 1996 proved that a car bomb alone could not destroy reinforced concrete supports like those in the Alfred P. Murrah building. Chemical and electrical engineers, physicists and a U.S. Brigadier General all concurred that the damage to the Murrah Building on April 19, 1995 could not be ascribed to a single truck bomb containing 4,800 pounds of ammonium nitrate fuel oil.
A former military man at the scene on April 19 to search for victims witnessed fire department teams removing two devices that were placed in bomb disposal units. These were described as "military olive drab in color," the size of "round, five-gallon drums, with black lettering designating the contents as fulminated mercury," a high grade explosive. He saw mercury switches on devices which he recognized as detonators.
Had complete work been done in 1995, might 2001 have been prevented?
Read this book, and weep for the victims of both heinous attacks. - Alyssa A. Lappen
Wow! September 27, 2009...and I thought I was behind on my reading!
You must have more giant icons on your ping list than I do. (Global warming and Catholic prayer icons can add a page in a heartbeat.)
