NEW YORK -- A federal judge on Tuesday sentenced former Democratic fund-raiser Norman Hsu to more than 24 years in prison for illegally funneling tens of thousands of dollars to U.S. political candidates and for his role in a Ponzi scheme.
The sentence of 292 months in prison, handed down in a U.S. District Court in Manhattan by Judge Victor Marrero, was less than the 30 years that the prosecution had requested.
Before Judge Marrero announced the sentence, Mr. Hsu quietly told him: "I know apologizing will not make things better for anyone, but I would still like to apologize to your Honor, and to everyone else."
Federal prosecutors said the apology was meaningless, arguing that Mr. Hsu wasn't as cooperative as he could have been.

You think he’ll get pardoned during the last days of the current administration along with members of Acorn?
To: BulletBobCo
On another note, Hillary is still free to break whatever law she chooses.

I doubt he’ll wait that long. Wasn’t Ayres the one who said prison is cruel and ought to be abolished?
To: rocksblues
Hillary should be in the cell next to him!! geesh....when will these little people get the message that they are disposable to the Big DEMS???
We sure didn't hear anything about his case, did we???

Amazing isn't it. With a Republican Admin we would be backing up their legitimate takeover of their country.
With a Democrat Admin they are the bad guys.
This should be a wake up call for uncommitted voters in 2010.
We shall see?

Well well, they sure kept that quiet. We know if the shoe was on the other foot, it would have been screamed from the pages each and every day.

At like $40,000 per year costs, this means taxpayers will spend about a million bucks to lock him up.

PRC bagman. A rare direct glimpse into how china funnels money into the US political system.
That said, I think the credit card funding for obama was not from china. I would tend to suspect saudi arabia or some coalition of sunni muslim interests, but it isn’t clear yet which, bowing to kings and all included.
To: Anti-Bubba182
By default, narcissists never value the lives of other human beings.
EVER.
Since Obama's photo should be next to the Oxford English Dictionary's definition of "Narcissist," why would he give a rat's ear about anyone other than himself?

This guy will do a year in the golf course “prison” and be pardoned.
To: BulletBobCo
LOL!
But seriously, you never know what the Feds are up to. Hsu may be rolling over on everybody right now unless he was acting on behalf of a foreign country—like China. In that case he may be waiting for them to extract him which will be tricky at best. China's agents in the Clinton/Gore campaign finance scandal took the 5th then skipped the country.
