San Antonio, TX - San Antonio Living Show - Entertainment Stories -- Homeless 'American Girl' doll part of new collection

Airhead woman thinks it’s “reality”. Yeah, the homeless girl with a whole wardrobe of pink gunny sack dresses.
My (now adult) daughters have some of them from when they were little.
This homeless one probably is a BUSH ERA doll.
“Mommy, mommy! When I grow up, I want to be homeless just like my favorite American Girl doll, Gwen!”
Let me guess: she comes with a Crystal Waters MP3 filed.
People are so endlessly stupid.
This doll debuted in the 0bama administration.
Gheez! Can’t they just leave the kids enjoy their childhood? Let the brainwashing begin!! When’s the last time anyone saw a little girl in the US living in a cardboard box?
I liked the concept of these dolls because the stories had history behind them as each doll represented a particular era in American history. I’ve read through a few of them and in the back of my mind thought the company leaned slightly to the left. Now I’m convinced.
What’s next? Molested Molly? Lesbian LuLu?
Kami, a mustard-colored furry Muppet, likes nature,
telling stories and collecting stuff. She also happens to be HIV-positive.
To plaudits from education officials and AIDS activists,
the producers of South Africa's version of Sesame Street on
Tuesday unveiled the first Muppet infected with the virus that causes AIDS.
"We are living in a society that is very stigmatizing and
discriminatory," said Musa Njoko, an AIDS activist. The
introduction of Kami "is going to create a culture of acceptance."
I wouldn’t be surprized if “Kami was having unprotected anal sex with up to ten johns a day. You see, Kami is a prostitute. She has to support her three children, born out of wedlock, and each of her children has a different daddy. One of them died of AIDS, the other two are in prison”.
Next up, the New American Girl Lesbian doll.
Will her name be Rosie?
It’s going to be in the upper-40s tonite here in the south, think I’ll build an American Girl Doll bonfire.
Next: American Girl Crack Ho...anyone who would buy a “homeless doll” for their child needs to contemplate what kind of ideas they are planting in their child’s fantasy world. What a crock.
American Girl Ex-Con Doll, the American Girl Illegal Alien Doll, American Girl Gang Member Doll ...
Hopefully not with a friend performing their sex act.
Oh wait, never mind.
I’m old. I remember in the fifties a doll called Poor Pitiful Pearl. She looked like a ragpicker and had a scarf on her head and a tattered dress with patches.
My cousin got one for Christmas. My mother thought it was very peculiar — she also objected to “Betsy Wetsy” dolls................ she preferred those little dolls with cute clothes — Madame Alexander dolls I believe...
I remember Pitiful Pearl. Depressing little doll.
How about No Health Care Hannah?
I read another article about this doll. It was a good editorial commentary. The story that comes with the doll is that the daddy abandoned the family, mommy lost her job and they ended up living in their car.
Exactly; when a house burns down during a Republican administration the occupants are homeless, when it's a Democrat they are just displaced.
The "homeless" do not exist during a Democrat presidency.
Since Obama's election, when's the last time you saw or read a story on the homeless?
They don’t lean slightly to the left. http://www.cwfa.org/articles/9207/CWA/life/index.htm
My daughters will never own one of these dolls or read their books. We like Vision Forum’s Beautiful Girlhood dolls.
No Health Care Hannah — works for me!!!
I had no idea of the back story behind ‘Pearl.’ That’s really depressing re abandonment etc............
