One of President Barack Obama's health care "horror stories" is about a woman who, he says, lost her health insurance on the verge of breast cancer surgery because she didn't disclose a case of acne to the insurer. That's not what happened.
Robin Lynn Beaton, 59, of Waxahachie, Texas, indeed had her insurance suspended and then terminated when she needed it the most. Hers is a cautionary tale about how an insurance company can act in a seemingly arbitrary manner to revoke coverage for lifesaving treatment.
But not for the reasons Obama cites.

If you have or recently had any quasi-serious condition they won’t want to touch you with a ten foot pole. Not that I blame their underwriters, because modern plans are not designed for catastrophic event coverage but for maintenance coverage.
And if even the “Red” Star/Tribune can smell a lefty Prez’s BS, then he’s producing an awful lot of it.
Looks like a lot of folks are getting ready to backpedal on the Bummer.
In health debate, Obama’s stories of hardship don’t EVER hold up to scrutiny
As we continue to discover.....
I just got a spam email from my Senator Sherrod Brown. I guess I’m on his email list because I got into it with him once on amnesty and left him with a electronic black eye.
Anyway he was touting how Obama’s Health Care Plan was going to solve everyone’s problem here in Ohio, and how he’s been hosting meetings all across Ohio.
I replied:
“Horse manure. Why don’t you have a real town hall meeting instead of hosting events with hand-picked attendees. Coward!”
Excellent!!
Since coverage is currently so heavily tied to employment, most credible hardship stories are connected with the unemployed. That’s a worm can that Bummer doesn’t want to touch because it unmasks his “wonderful economy.”
What amazes me is the lack of what I will call an “H.L. Mencken ‘conscience’” in the White House speechwriting department.
Mencken defined “conscience,” you see, as (paraphrasing closely) “that little voice inside your head whispering, ‘you might get caught.’”
Well, shouldn’t it occur to WHITE HOUSE speechwriters that their anecdotes about this or that “victim” will be gone over with thousands of fine-toothed combs? and therefore that the anecdotes had better be the truth, the WHOLE!! truth?
They have a mindset that was more suited to a time when there was no Internet. There was only the liberal TV media and liberal rags and they could safely dish out their pablum. But that wascally Al Gore, he had to go invent something to upset their applecart.
This is the next best thing to Lil’ Dick Gephardt’s pretend friends.
Ha!!!
Their are actually two little voice teams. Sociopaths have the one that says, “I’m smarter than everyone, they’ll never catch on.”
WHY do leftist sob stories always turn out to be fraudulent?
The press should have been all over these stories, interviewing the family, exposing the lies. Gross malfeasance.
